What I've noticed with smokers who come from so-called lights or super-lights is they can't handle the throat hit of e-cigs as their analogues don't really have any throat hit at all. 'Lights' smokers also tend to inhale much deeper and smoke more a day than someone coming from strong analogues.
I know it from my own experience switching from Swiss and French brands which have a rough hit but actually not that much nicotine. When I smoked I never inhaled very deeply as they feel like they make your lungs implode. Speaking for myself I'm sometimes struggling with the opposite, ie. getting enough throat hit.
