What wick/coil sizes and styles do you prefer?

Does it fire at the .3 ohms BigCloudz or just read it? If it fires what settings are you using because I've read there's a 5 amp limit on the SVD as well but if I can get away with trying a sub-ohm on SVD I will just to say I tried it hah.

P.S. ECF is nothing but carebears..it's pretty sickening really. (j/k ECF'ers I love it here!)

Oh no way man. It won't fire. I believe the lowest the SVD will fire is ~1.3, I know for certain it will at 1.4.

Haha, it's all good. I didn't mean to fire off too harshly, but like I said, I have been around forums long enough to not let the parrots get to me.

Ok looks like I am going to go with the Ecowool 3mm for the wick, and more than likely thing kanthal ribbon, probably .5mm.

Do you guys have a one stop shop for accessories? Like OHM meter, SS mesh, wire, & wicks? I found a site called www.avidvaper.com and it seems to have just about everything rolled into one. Has wicks, wire, mesh, and even an OHMs meter. My only hold up would be never hearing of the site and being a bit skeptical. It would be nice to save on shipping by getting all my accessories from one spot. Even if the wick/wire is a tad more, if I can throw in an OHM meter, some good batteries and a drip tip or two; saving on the double shipping from two different vendors may be worth it?

Pulled the trigger. Bought both from E-bay, both free shipping from very reputable sources (Temco&Lighting Vape).

Got 25' of .5mm Kanthal A-1 Ribbon
6' of 3mm Ekowool Silica wick

One should arrive by Sat, other by Tuesday and I payed $17.55 out the door! Very excited about that!

I am using an AW IMR 18650, checking the OHM's regularly and do not chain vape it or go crazy. I am just easing into everything.

To the poster above: It's not that "I like my .3 coils", this is just what he set me up with. I am all ears as to what seems to be the sweet spot for a good vape w/o risking anything and what not.

I am using a SmokTech Magneto, Igo-w atty and like I said, the AW IMR 18650 battery..

IMO ANYONE that would build a coil in a RBA for someone else is suffering from major brainfarts. I don't care if it's sub ohm or 50 ohms!
There is a huge difference between showing someone how, and doing it for them ...... and they don't make insurance policies that are big enough!
That 0.3 ohm coil was pulling 14 amps on a fresh battery, so you can't even add one of the fuses .......... you are totally on your own for safety. I simply have a hard time with vape shops thinking that's OK.

i usually do micro coil coz it gives a good ohm reading and on par performance with my previous sub ohm build.. now im into using cotton as wick, its pretty good too

I have a mech mod and igo l coming soon. plan on doing a dual coil with 32ga kanthal and aiming for 1 ohm or a little less and im going to wick it with cotton puff balls. I biuld my protanks with 32 ga and cotton puff balls and it works good. cant wait to get my mech

So I take it you are completely opposed to pre-wrapped coils?

I would have had him 'show' me, but I was/am waiting for my wick and wire to come in the mail, and wasn't gonna get killed on their crazy high prices for a foot of each..
