I am currently using V4L OEM EGO with vivi nova using 2.4ohm head trimmed just so it touches the body of the tank, using 70/30 liquid with 12mg nic.

Works wonderfully, it is the best at mornings when I pull the EGO off the charger. Then later in the morning like a hour or so later, it just seems to get weaker, but lasts like that all day. I last a full tank of vivi thur the day no refills. Same with using a single EGO battery all day.

I am looking for something with better throat hits. The EGO does a pretty good job with that, but sometimes it doesnt seem to really work like when I'm driving with the windows down, it seems to not work at all, then I ahve to roll the window up to check.

Usually it works best when i take a draw then let it sit a min, take another one. If i chain vape like about 5 draws within a min. It will drop in performance quickly.

Will VV give me a better throat hit using viv nova? I do have 1.8 and 2.8 head as well, 2.4 works the best with the EGO I have.

I am looking for something that will be constient through the day. I have done lots of reading on VV and seems like Provari is the best choice, 2nd runner the VMAX. But most of people just say its great, awesome or whatever, but I have not yet found a discussion about how it performs over EGO after making the jump like the throat hit etc. Its the throat hit I'm looking for, but not wanting it too hot.

Any VVPV is Head nd Shoulders over an eGo.

A VVPV gives you the Ability to Fine tune your Hit. Dial up the Voltage for my TH and Vapor. Dial the Voltage down for less.

No more having to find the Perfect ohm Carto or having 2 out of 3 Cartos working and one being "weak".

Lastly, a VVPV should maintain the Voltage over the Charge of the Battery. So the First hit should taste Exactly like the Last.

I didn't have good Luck with the VMAX I bought. Though I have had Flawless Performance from Both My Provari and Mini-Provari. There are other Cheaper VVPV's out there. But I have Never held one that feels as Good as a Provari does.

Thank you for your feedback, is the TH hotter than the EGO's? From my understanding is that once you increase the voltage the coils gets hotter, so that would mean you would be getting hotter vapor in corect?

Other than that its motivated me to get one now. But I'm still researching on trying to figure out which one to get. I see V4L has come out with OMG VV, but from what it looks like in the picture, looks like its not very quality built and its 2 piece. I see that its a similar copy of Vision Tox. but price is 99.96 for kit. But there is no reviews on the OMG VV kit yet since it was just released. I really like V4L due to their excellent CS they have bent backwards and been great to me, replaced my stuff asap!

I know Provari is a solid US made product and I see it is very high quality from several reviews. But the 211.95 pricetag for the kit is pretty high for me right now. I mean i could buy it no problem but that would pull me just very close to my Ecig budget for this month. I was hoping to be able to find a dependable VV kit and be able to get a couple accessories and buy a provari this fall after I find a new full time job. I just graduated from college last week for my CDL-A license.

Just kinda got to think it over for a bit.

...

This is Correct.

As Voltage goes up, the coild gets Hotter and you get more TH, Flavor and Vapor. Of course, there is a Limit.

Yeah, the Provari is not Cheap. But it is Not a Cheap Mod either. My theory is going to get a Provari sooner or later. You might as well get it now.

But I understand abot money being tight.

On the Cheapest end of the Spectrum would be the eGo Twist. It's a VVPV. The same dimensions as the eGo only longer. A good way to see what a VVPV is all about.

Another VVPV you might consider is Lavatube. I have a Mini-Lavatube and it works fine. Nowhere near the Quality of a Provari but it does the Job.

Like I said, I would suggest the Provari. I have an entire box of "Half Steps" to get to the Provari. Would have saved me More Money if I had just the Provari First.

The low resistance stuff on the 3.7V ego is great, but a 3ohm single coil carto at 5-6V is just something every vaper needs to try at least. I have been very pleased with my Chrome Lavatube, although this is the only mod I have spent a considerable amount of time with. It's got to be pretty hard to beat for an entry VV mod (for the money)

Im ordering my first Provari this wednesday, when the new colors are released.

I've been using an Altsmoke Silver Bullet and BB for the last 3 months, and have been very satisfied with their performance. I never really thought I would want a variable voltage device or even like higher voltage vaping. Until the owner of Altsmoke let me try his kicked Silver Bullet and a Ego Twist in his Columbus, Ohio store.

It wasn't a revelation, like the sky opening up and angels starting to sing, but there definitely was something to this. Incredible clouds of vapor; being able to taste minor side notes in the flavors from my very own carto tanks that I had never noticed before with my 3.7v devices. A throat hit that I hadn't experienced since my days smoking the analogs.

I picked Smokeless Image and Altsmoke because of their high quality, dependable gear, reknown customer service, and stalwart reputation in the vaping community. Unfortunately, Altsmoke doesn't offer a VV device other than the Twist. After reading scores of reviews and testamonials from dedicated Provari owners, not in the least PBusardo's infamous "Now, I get it" video, I realized that if I did get a variable voltage mod, it would have to be a Provari. Provape appears to be a company equal to the aforementioned companies.

Yes, it is expensive. But it is also an investment that will last many years, as opposed to maybe months like many of the other devices. I knew I didn't want to stack batteries -- not safe no matter what anyone says. I've seen what a battery out of control can do. I like buying an American made device and American company that will stand by its product, even after warranty.

I'd save up and get the best of the best. I know I did. And I can't wait.

Yeah, I'm not a Fan of Any Stacked Batteries either. I don't care how carefull you are with them, they still have the Potential for a Big Problem.

Excellent! I will go and gather all the information and post back!:D

on the side note, what is a excellent tank and or cartomizer for the provari? Or the atomizer, i dont know exactly how the atomizer unit works compared to a cartomizer that I see on the provapes site.

It came!!!! wow I love it! Currently I am using 2.4 head on my Vivi Nova 2.5 tank with wick trimmed. But the provari shows it as 3.0 ohms?? I am vaping it at 4.0v, really nice and smooth, kinda afraid to go higher and blow the head. But so far the performance has not dropped a bit which it does with the ego! How high of voltage can the 2.4 head handle? I am using a 70/30 pomegrante liquid from freedomsmokeusa if that matters.

Thank you all for the pressure to hold on and get the provari!

Awesome man, congratz!!!

the Provari ohms reading has been very accurate for me.....if I make a coil and my multimeter shows 3.5 ohms then my provari will show 3.5 ohms so yer coil is probably a pretty true 3 ohms.

I wouldn't be afraid to take up the voltage. Just go in .1 increments and just try and adjust to taste. If it feels like it starts to hit dry then back it down a touch. I have been playing with my new Provari since Wednesday and have found my sweet spot. It is awesome.

BTW,I'm using a Pheonix style rebuldable at 3.2ohms at 5.1 volts w/ 50/50 juice..............knocks me on my hind. I can go to about 5.4 or 5.5 for those times when I REALLY need a big hit ;)
