I just stepped down to 6 mg in standard tanks (Nautilus, AeroTank) and 3 mg in sub-ohm tanks. Should my next one be zero in all tanks, or should I do 3 mg in standard and 0 mg in sub-ohm? When I do reach zero in all tanks, how long will it take for me to get used to it?

I started vaping in April using 24 mg in both types of tanks and stepped down 6 mg each segment, after smoking two packs a day for 18 years. Step-dowm levels have been: 24/24, 18/24, 12/18, 6/12, and now 3/6. Lower numbers in sub-ohm and higher in standard.

The only difference at 0mg will be the liquid will be the pure flavor without the nicotine peppery tone, and yes you can do 3mg in one tank and 0mg in another, how you step down is on you, but I would keep at least a 3 or 6mg liquid on hand incase you do need a nic fix from time to time until your body has accepted and adjusted to the change.

I guess if you decided to try 0 nic, it would...let you know what 0 nic is like...
Sorry.. I don't understand...
Satisfy your curiosity. Try it!

Good luck

Hi, I have been cigarette free for a year and a half. I started at 24 mg.nicotine then dropped to 18. I'm still on 18 because I guess I'm not yet ready to give up my nicotine yet. but I would think if your down to 6 mg, when you make the transition to Zero it's not going to be a really noticeable difference. if you are tolerating the 6mg without cravings or irritation, then you should be able to slip right on over to Zero without much difference. however if you find yourself craving a smoke, you might consider staying on 6 a bit longer. Everyone is different when it comes to this. me, I get cranky, and get serious cravings for smoking under 18 mg. so I'm obviously not yet ready to drop myself. however if your ready, then that's great!!!! as long as your not going to be wanting to smoke with Zero nicotine. that's the most important thing. as far as flavor and throat hit , you shouldn't notice much difference. I hope this helps someone and congratulations on dropping the nicotine. Well done!! :)

@Boden I love flavours :D I don't think I will ever drop them :D
I just think it's odd that nobody is worried about nicotine hurting them but it's the thing that people try to cut down on. While the flavoring is talked about and is a legit concern for damaging lung tissue but very few are cutting back on it, quite the opposite actually. People drop nic and vape huge quantity of high VG highly flavored liquids.

@Boden sure I'm concerned about flavour damage, but I'm sure that it does less damage than my 1 and a half pack habit that I had before vaping... I'm not more concerned about nicotine damage, but I want to drop it because of the addiction it gives.

P.S. I'm a MTL inhaler, don't care about huge clouds or high flavored VG liquids, my highest mixes are at 6% while most at 5%

I think I'm one of the few who are keeping their nicotine the same (16mg/mL) and dropping the amount of flavoring.

I am currently at 1% flavoring, soon to be at 0%!!! Woo Hoo!!!

:)

I never worried about the nicotine. That's what I enjoy the most about vaping anyway. I just recently dropped from my usual 18-20mg/ml to 16-18mg/ml. Only reason is laziness. Makes mixing semi-DIY real easy. Some pre-mixed flavor concentrates and a bottle of unflavored 18mg/ml. Could hardly be easier - and with such low flavoring content its preeetty low-cost.

Flavorings? I prefer a very mildly aromatic vape over a stick-to-your-buds thick gooey something. Guess I'm lucky in the way that (to me) a lot of things taste better and more complex when not overly saturated. 10ml bottles of pre-mix meant for a total of 50ml finished product; I usually make 250-300ml out of. Sometimes i add a few dashes more unflavored. Hence the range of nic content instead of a specific level.

I began at 24mg April 2015, to my surprise I rapidly decreased to 0 nicotine in several weeks, appears my body was rejecting nicotine. Yep, I'm alway's a rare case, Lol !!! I haven't had any nicotine craving since, which is very unusual cause I smoked analogs for 38 yrs. Believe I smoked out of habit, more then pleasure of nicotine. Good luck to ya, getting down to 0 nic.

I like 3mg but vaped 0 for a while. If you buy or make a juice you're used to at 0 nic, I think it'll taste cleaner and be very smooth since there's no TH. Other than that, you might find it boring if you miss the nicotine. I found myself chain vaping the 0mg and getting bored with it after a while. Once I re-stocked on nic juice, I stopped vaping the 0mg.

I Started at 24mg. Running on 15mg now, planning to go to 12mg next batch I'll buy. Before, I bought expensive premixed bottles with tons of different flavours. Then I got into DYI and order 300ml VPG base cheap (16$) and a couple of aromas. I vape unflavpured most of the time, and use the flavours on special occations.
