I would suggest acid reflux...or heartburn, as others have said. I was vaping mostly 100% PG and higher nicotine than I do now when I started and soon started getting sore/raw throat and feeling like I had something stuck in it that wouldn't go down. Turns out that nicotine will cause reflux. I noticed it when I would vape too much...the same feeling I used to get if I smoked a cigar too fast....like my stomach was trying to come outta my throat. I didn't realize that this was the cause of the throat problems and the feeling like something was stuck in my throat.
There's a flap (for lack of a better word) in your throat, just under the adam's apple, that stops food from coming back up from the stomach. Acid reflux is basically the acids in your stomach getting up into the esophagus and when it reaches that flap it causes irritation and swelling which makes it feel like something's caught in your throat. That acid in your esophagus also eats away at it causing the raw, burning sensation. It can take quite some time to heal and if the acid reflux keeps up you may need to start taking Prilosec or something like it. Reflux runs in my family and everyone in it takes some sort of medication for it....well...except me...I'm stubborn!
