What would make my ohms go higher and lower using new/old factory coils in my Iclear30 on a SVD?

I usually soak my coils in Vodka and then dry burn and reuse them and most of them have been fine, maybe a couple ohms higher or lower, until recently, the ohms on some have gone up to 4.1 and I recently changed a couple of coils and put brand new ones in my Iclear30 tanks. In both of them the ohms started slowly climbing and when it got to 3.0, I took them out, I was getting dry burnt hits. I replaced one of them with a new one again and now the ohms are down to 1.4?

In both tanks I was vaping my DIY eliquid. I use a mix of 70/30 vg/pg. The only thing I did different with my last DIY was I made my own 0.9% saline solution (can't get it from my local pharmacy) and added it at 6%. Could this cause my coils to go bad?

Should I be adding another 6% of just distilled water on top of the saline?

I've never heard of anybody using saline solution in their DIY but that doesn't mean much but I would think that the salt would gunk up your coils and might cause the variations in ohms readings same as sweetener.

Don't use saline. Saline is salty water. salt will cause rust and can leave a deposit. I don't know much about the Iclear but the heads on them do not look like a good candidate for soak and dry burn but i could be wrong.
