What's a co-op?

I have read the how to and guidelines but that seems more for folks that are actually sponsoring a co-op. I was looking for more info on what exactly it is and the info for people that participate. I see a lot of folks talking about it in other threads as well that they are waiting t get it in a co-op.
anyway just another newbie question

It is a cooperative. Someone starts up a CoOp to buy X. Many users get together and buy X wholesale to get a lower deal based on a minimum order size of Y units. Make sense?

ECF does not guarantee in any way the CoOp, so if it goes wrong, you are out of luck.

Yes makes perfect sense, I just got a little confused when folks kept talking about money not going through and their cards be credited back etc....
Maybe I started reading in the middle of a thread where things went wrong.
So these are coming from regular suppliers but at a discount because of how many pieces?

It's a " Group Buy ". I used to run those on a certain auto forum. We were able to get car mods at excellent prices. I think that's the same concept here.

They are located in the Buying and selling section. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/coops/ There is lots of info there if you are interested. I love Co-ops but you have to be patient because they usually take a month or longer.
