I like to suggest the IGO-L to new drippers/rebuilders.

It is a good solid device. Simple to build. Large deck so there is more room for inexperienced fingers. Nice deep well in the bottom to catch overdrips. Doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

That said my first was the smok Octopus. Also simple to set up and use but more cramped so a little tougher to build and I have had leaks with it.

Aye, the IGO-L is a good unit. I used one for about a month and bought the IGO-W a few days ago. Starting with a single coil like the IGO-L will help you develop good re-coil and wicking skills. If you can build a good microcoil you should do fine with the IGO-L

Tip: More wick does not necessarily mean better flavor/vapor. The higher the coil the more throat hit (TH) you get, lower it for less TH.

I don't have a way of drilling air holes & wouldn't know how to. Where is the best place to get the igo's?

If you can't drill it DON'T get the igo-l its waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too tight. Do you have a drill ?? All you do is drill the existing hole, start with a small drill like 1mm and make the hole bigger until you like it, I drilled mine to 1.5mm. The Igo-w holes I drilled out to 1mm.

I disagree. I have not drilled out my Igo-L. I do not sub ohm so the airflow is just fine for the way I vape.

I have mine at 1.3 hardly a sub-ohm coil. I think most ppl drill it out.

Perhaps many do. I have not found it a handicap not having it drilled. It's a good vape and frankly I can fog up things enough as it is. More than once I haven't been able to read my computer screen for the fog ;)

Drilling it out is completely a personal choice. I like em drilled now but I certainly don't dislike a tighter draw. You get more flavor that way. But more th is available with more air so its a trade off.

Anyway I agree, a igoL will serve a new rba'er well. The trident is actually a better choice I agree. Its my fave out of many. Use a micro with cotton and don't use a ton of wick. Just a fluff will do ya. No shoulders on the wick when wet. Meaning, don't let the wick be wider than the coil.
