The new kanger aero tanks are said to be much improved and a lot less wonky than past clearomizers. Obviously clearos are very beginner friendly to fill and use.

Kanger Aerotank Mini

Vision just came out with a V2 spinner. 1600mAh. 3.3-4.8 volts.

Vision Spinner 2 Battery 1600mAh

This is pretty much what I started out with over a year ago coming from a Blu kit. A lot cheaper and better today I imagine.

We all know he/she will be rockin' a Reo within a month or two anways so... :D

Good luck

If the above generous offer doesn't work out, try the evod kit from DV....My Mom who is "technically challenged" has been using it with good results!

That is the set up I'd recommend myself. Easily replaced heads, glass tank (because you don't know if they are gonna get a tank cracking juice), SS tank (if they are clumsy and break the glass one), built in AFC (quitters like tighter draws from what I've seen, but able to adjust later), replaceable drip tip (some folks like to accessorize). Spinner 2, good power range and capacity.

If/when I buy a set up for air traveling (so I don't have to risk a Grand to anything), this is the setup I want to buy. 2 spinners and 2 aerotank mini's, extra pack of coil heads, 15ml bottles of juice.

EDIT: I'm glad that FD posted those, was trying to find a site the other day that had both of those items, so I could recommend them to someone to buy (and only have to pay for shipping one time). I know where to point folks now!

Thanks everyone for your responses. I have a big knowledge gap caused my early adoption to Reos back in late 2010. At that time I don't think there were tanks or clearomizers or if there were they weren't very popular. At that time there were cartomizers and regular attys. So I have no clue how these things work. Before I ordered my Reo I was using Egos with Joye attys and a piece that slid over the atty that was a mouth piece and had stuffing that you soaked that made contact with the coil. Pretty crude stuff to say the least.

I emailed the person yesterday about vaping. I gave her the ECF link, some general knowledge about vaping. I told her I would set her up for free but she would have to come to the house for a short lesson on vaping. I haven't heard back from her yet.

Thanks again for you input. We'll see what happens here.

Good luck with that! It's great that you are trying to help the person out by supplying the ecigs to start with, but you know that if they aren't committed, it won't happen. I've heard a few people say (and you know what, I agree with this) that if the person isn't committed to quitting smoking, you buying them a set up doesn't help. If they have their own money invested into quitting, it does help, because they don't want to feel like they wasted money.

If/when I set myself up with a travel kit, I'll probably use that as something folks can try out, and if they say they want to buy their own, I'd let them borrow it until they get their own in, so that they can immediately get off analogs. My last squadron commander did that for me, so I'd pay it forward myself. Or, I'd say "You can buy mine off me right now, so you don't have to wait, and I'll order another set up".

If they've got no skin in the game, they don't have to take it seriously.

Another suggestion for you: hit up Vistaprint for some "free" business cards (like I did). I say "free" because the cards ARE free, but the shipping isn't. You could get some cards, have them printed out with everything YOU think a potential/new vaper would need links/info for, and hand them out (I have a post somewhere here in REOville about doing this).

It's a good thing, don't have to talk someone's ear off (which can put some folks off), they get info already written down so they can check it out later, and then they also have a physical reminder (the card itself) to check out the links/info.

I think everyone should have some cards, carry them on them, and then when folks ask about ecigs, or quitting analogs, you can just hand them one.
