Micro coil and cotton.

I've just recently started using 100% cotton sterile gauze. Instead of threading it through the micro coil I roll it into a little ball and push it up against coil opposite side of the air hole. Then I squonk a bit of juice, make it moist and use a little pokey tool (toothpick or something) and push it under the coil and around the end of the coil opposite the juice hole.

For me this works really well even for Boba's.
Might you post a picture of that? I've read of people doing that, but I can't quite picture it. :) Thanks!

I dissected one of those in 4th grade, my owl apparently dined on a pregnant mouse, it was awesome.

I highly suggest boiling your cotton, I use the organic stuff from cvs and would get that weird taste from the hydrogen peroxide they use to bleach it. It took about 24hrs to boil/dry, now I get a clean, pure, after taste free flavor from there.

I do have to try that bed of cotton thing with a nano coil though, sounds interesting.

When using SS mesh, do you have to be concerned about the SS touching the sides of the atty? Will it short out? (this may be a stupid question but I've never used SS mesh before. Interested in it though....)

Then I'm stupid too, Cliven, because I did not know, thus, I just made it not touching. Thankfully, Pdib came to our rescue. If I understand his picture correctly, the SS wick can touch the sides. Probably because of one's oxidising it, which prevents it from shorting.
