A large majority of vapers are either ex-smokers, or are using PVs to quit. After smoking for a long time (I did for over 35 years - and still smoke cigars now & then), you can appreciate a good tobacco flavor. For me, I can't vape sweet or fruity juices for long, but they are a nice change once in a while.

While there are few tobacco flavors that taste exactly like cigarettes, there are many that have some really good cigar or pipe flavors. I enjoy all kinds of flavors myself, but my daily vapes are either Boba's, Liqua Cuban Cigar, or Rawr's Poison....all great tobacco flavors.

Just personal preference.

I feel that cigar smokers would appreciate the tobacco-flavored liquid the most. I don't smoke cigars, so I tend to stay away from pure tobacco e-liquid. I'll vape menthol though.

Tobacco tastes pretty good when it's not burning. Vaping tobaccos (primarily naturally extracted tobaccos) tastes like the cured leaves smell, which is rich, earthy, mildly sweet and spicy. It's a completely different experience from smoking it. That's why I like it. It has nothing to do with reminding me of cigs. I don't like anything that tastes like a cig. It's an acquired taste as are coffee, wine, and liquor.

Most of the starter kits that come with prefilled carts include a tobacco flavor. Maybe that is needed for some of us to quit. And when we get bored of that we try other stuff. I personally only like a couple of the tobacco flavors, love fruit, and even some dessert ones (that was a surprise). My tastes are still changing and really I just stick with whatever I like and I really don't worry about it too much. :2c:

We all come off that age old thing I think. It's habit and ingrained in us.

Most people it seems when they move to the ecig want an ecig lookalike with ecig flavors. They don't realize that tobacco has an inherent sweetness to it that you don't taste as it's burning. I believe it is completely natural to want to have the same taste and look when you first start and venture outwards after you get over that initial hump.

Not many analog smokers today go "I wish my smokes tasted like pie, or cake or ribs" but after some time they will explore those options. It's human nature and instinct to go with what we know. If you take a smoker and give him grape to start with when he expects tobacco, you are doing him a disservice unless you have a tobacco flavor standing by.

Its earthy and its pallette cleansing. Its perhaps a "template" than can use modification, but it has its charm. I am not a fan of super sweet, so I look to sweet-ish tobaccos mixed with not-over sweet earthy or smooth rich flavours -chocolate, vanilla, caramel, honey, coffee, for something with a similar "Earthiness" to tobacco without the ashy or harsh elements, a little smoother.

In contrast, however, id prefer not to vape a pure plain tobacco, While there are things I like about the flavour, its not perfect -its ashy, peppery notes and lack of smoothness leaves something to be desired for. Plus some of them taste nothing like tobacco, and more like black tea or some other weirdness.

So I like something in between. Part of the appeal of vaping for sure, and something that keeps you off stinkies, is the nicer flavours options.

When I first transitioned from analogs to vape, tobacco was critical. Now I enjoy tab mixes with other flavs, mostly sweets but some fruits too. It'll be interesting to see if I sway from tobacco flavs over time... But then again, I smoked because I loved to smoke, flavor and all! Thinking I should try out a pipe tabacco flavs next, maybe with a hint of cherry or vanilla, yum!

Pendragon from Mountain Oak Vapors is a mild pipe tobacco with cherry and vanilla infused prior to extraction. Not overly sweet, this NET might hit the spot for you.

As someone who enjoys a good cigar every now and again, I tend to shy away from tobacco flavors. It keeps my palette fresh to the nuances of the tobacco, and I'v found that I enjoy a cigar a lot more than when I used to smoke analogs.

(I certainly don't enjoy the dry cleaning bill after I do smoke a cigar. Stale cigar smoke is worse than any cigarette smoke!)

I came from smoking Newports mostly for close to 15 years, and started with a menthol flavor and thought is was awful. I've tried a bunch of menthol flavors and just cant vape them. I also tried the tobacco flavors when I first started and I had the same reaction as I did with menthol, bleh. Now the only thing I can vape all day is fruit flavors. I'd love to find a tobacco flavor I enjoy but since my initial tobacco experiences havent even bothered. I also love coffee, but haven't found a coffee flavor that doesn't make me wretch. But when I look back at my smoking I can't ever really remember saying "Damn this is a tasty cigarette!". But if anyone has a recommendation on a really good tobacco flavor I'd love to try it.

I like some tobacco flavors. I cannot vape sweets all day. I do keep my flavors changed up so I've usually got an RY4 going along with some sweets. Sweet Tarts is my go to right now.

Tasty Vapor makes a tobacco flavor called tobacco. It reminded me so much of a cigarette, I ended up pouring it back into the bottle. I don't crave the taste of cigarettes any longer and just didn't want that taste in my mouth.

Tobacco Absolute is the flavoring used in most lab made tobacco juices. It has a very distinct taste that tends to add an "ashiness" that somewhat replicates the burning of tobacco in a cigarette. Extracted tobacco much more closely represents the flavor of the tobacco and not the ashy, burning taste of combustion. The difference between the two can range from slight to profound depending on your taste buds and each will have their own preferences.

Often when someone posts about a negative experience with tobacco juice, they are ranting about the flavor profile of tobacco absolute. There are good and bad TA juices (and NETs) depending on your palate. Tobaccos aren't for everyone but if you've only tried TA juice you really only like or dislike TA.

I agree. Nets are nothing like other tobacco flavored vapes. It is a shame for them to be lumped in with TA.

When I said I had tried tobacco flavored early on, I'm sure they were not NET's. To me, the non NET tobacco's are horrible. It really made me shy away from trying any other tobacco juice. Luckily I read and watched others whose opinion I trusted and finally caved and tried the HHV line. I'm so glad I did. :D

Thanks Army! :toast:

I never thought I would like tobacco flavors. I wasn't a fan of non-menthol cigarettes, etc., so why would I like tobacco flavored e-juice? A few times I have tried tobacco flavors and I wasn't thrilled with them. But, on a whim I decided to try some recently from Velvet Cloud Vapor and I'm loving it. I don't think I'll go out of my way to try lots of other tobacco flavors, but Ice Beard from VCV is one of my favorite juices right now. Before I tried it, I didn't get the appeal of tobacco juices because every kind I'd tried before was pretty nasty. When I vape the VCV, I don't think "Ooh yay! Tobacco!" I think "Mmm mellow with a hint of real menthol and a touch of sweetness." It's one of my all day vapes because the flavor isn't too strong or too weak and it's just a nice flavor.

When I started gaping I tried a couple very bad tobacco flavors and decided I must not like tobacco flavors. I then started gaping sweet and fruity flavors. The problem with that is im not much on sweet and fruity flavors as an all day thing. I like one bite of something sweet and im done with sweets all day. Fruity tends to be sweet also. I got to the point where I was getting annoyed with vaping and tired of tasting sweet all day. I decided to look for flavors that are not sweet. I tried different kinds of nuts (go ahead you can laugh) and found them to be ok but not an all day thing for me. I quickly realized there are far more sweet and fruity flavors out there than anything else. I decided to try tobaccos again in my search for my ADV. Now armed with some info and my giant brain called ECF I tried some highly recommended tobaccos. I now love tobacco flavors. HHV tobaccos to be precise. They are fantastic. Vaping is great from day one but once you find out what you really like it becomes fantastic.

Does anyone else's spell check insist on "gaping" instead of vaping?

Yes, mine does this, haha.
