All of the kits out there are a waste of money imho.

If you insist however i'd grab one of these.. The DIY Flavor Artisan's Master Kit - One Stop DIY Shop Store

After you have this kit you will still need to reorder gloves, syringes, flavoring, nicotine and such to replenish what you use. It will get you started but after using the nic from this kit I would buy cheaper nic from another source. One Stop DIY is great for obtaining flavors and they will give you free pipettes and gloves for mixing with every order. Also Wizard Labs will give you pipettes and flavor samples or 5ml bottles as freebies with each order. So you can just about get everything you need from those two sources. And there is also Nude Nicotine which is very similar to Wizard Labs in quality and price.

The kits are very expensive for what you're getting.

You can buy all the ingredients from Wizard Labs and get twice (or more of) the amounts.

120ml of pg and vg each: $3.19
120ml of 48mg nic: $9.99
8ml TFA and Loran's flavors: $1.49

I suggest getting a box of gloves from Costco or Home Depot.

If you want bottles: http://packagingoptionsdirect.com

Unless you're going to buy a scale, I suggest buying syringes here: http://www.firstoptionmedical.com/mobile/default.aspx (great prices, many options, inexpensive shipping)

For flavors, I personally recommend TFA, Inawera, and FlavourArt. Here's a thread on where to buy: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/diy-e-liquid/539843-flavor-flavour-suppliers.html

Edit: whoops

Thats exactly what I was thinking from both of you and I appreciate the advice! I was scared to commit to a pre-assembled kit and I knew that I could find something better! thanks a lot! And on another note. What tools do I need and how many bottles or syringes or anything do I need? You guys can build my kit and I'll just order what you say to lol.

I wanted a "kit solution" when I first looked at DIY. Then I figured out pretty fast there there were problems. My first problem was I needed a kit with 100 VG base liquids - and there weren't any. Beyond that, the kits are someone else's idea of what you need and for a beginner there can be a lot of lab ware in those kits that is too large or just unnecessary. And you are stuck with the flavorings that the kit place sells. I want tobacco's - one kit place doesn't sell any tobacco flavorings.

And stuff like that...

I would suggest you need to research your flavorings first. Figure out what you will want to try for your opening flavors, then find the DIY supplier that carries those lines of flavorings. Fill in the order around that for your nic base, unflavored PG or VG, and bottles and syringes from there. Don't allow yourself to get glazed over by all that shiny lab glass in those kits. For a beginner a lot of that really isn't needed. Small bottles to mix in and several 1 ml to 5 ml syringes to measure and dispense will suit just fine.

RTS Vapes is one place to check out with a pretty broad flavorings lineup from several different manufacturers.

BY ALL MEANS(!!!) do your research as far as working with nicotine, and as Rick suggested, research flavorings. I know I spent a LONG time just reading through a LOT of threads here and READING THE STICKIES regarding safety. This forum is full of really good information by some really good, helpful people. Once I ordered by stuff, I spent another 2 weeks reading more, lol. I asked questions when I wasn't sure or if I hadn't already found the answer. At that point, all I did was split up nic in smaller bottles for freezer storage.

Keep in mind, any advise or suggestion I might have to offer is coming from a total noob at DIY. I've only been doing this a couple weeks. With that said, if you're gonna order anything we tell you to order, order me some stuff from Flavour Art, ok?

The 100mg/ml, 72mg/ml, 50mg/ml etc indicates the strength of the nicotine, ie the juice you want to make is say 18mg/ml, so you would add 1.8ml of 100mg/ml nicotine to your 10ml bottle of juice to get the required strength, or 3.6ml of 50mg/ml nicotine to achieve the same result.
The 50/50 pg/vg base indicates that the nicotine solution is in a blend of 50% Propylene Glycol and 50% Vegetable Glycerin, or it could be in 100% Propylene Glycol or 100% Vegetable Glycerin etc

If you've read the blogs and know what you now need to get then the next step is to find a one stop shop. Here's a vender that has a very good selection.
