What's the best high capacity 18650 battery that'll work with a Subtank?

I just got the subox mini kit that comes with a Subtank mini and 50 watt mod, but no battery. I looked at a Panasonic 18650B 3400mah battery on a popular vendor site and it said it's not for sub ohm tanks.

Why is this and which battery should I get?

At 50W in a regulated mod just about any battery will work as long as its a safe chemistry battery. There is a guy here named "Mooch". Check out his blogs. Look for a battery he rates at 20 amps CDR and choose any one you like. The mAh rating is how long the battery will run between charges, so the higher the number the better, as long as it has a true 20A CDR rating. If you you plan to vape above 75 - 80W, you should look into the 30A CDR batteries.

The Panasonic ncr18650b isn't recommended because it has a 6.8a CDR.

AW 3000mah 20a CDR
LG HG2 3000mah 20a CDR
Samsung 30Q 3000mah 20a CDR
LG he2 or he4 2500mah 20a CDR
Samsung 25r 2500mah 20a CDR
Sony VTC5 2600mah 20a CDR

LG HG2, Hands down best all around mass produced battery at the moment for most levels of vaping.

I picked up a couple of pairs of the HG2's last week and I'm impressed. I'm only using them at 20 - 30W, but they last forever on a charge. Can't comment on longevity, but out of the box they are great.

I vape at 100+ watts all day on a set of HG2's in my Ipv 3li And they last all the way until im ready to charge them before bed.
