I bought the Lava Tube renamed the Torpedo VVV, and ordered it before even receiving my first PV kit, and at that same time, I also ordered a 6ml tank to go with it, with low resistance cartos for it. I believe they were advertised as 3ohm, but they said that since its a dual coils system, that each coil would be 1.5ohm in operation.

I also ordered 3 smoktek cartos at 1.5ohm, and an atty(LR). The Torpedo came with a special made clearo designed for the Torpedo, but it never worked, so I am stuck with the above mentioned cartos, tank, and atty.

I have tried all that stuff at 3-4.5 volts and at closer to 4.5v, all the above atty's, cartos, etc seem to gurgle really loudly, and it seems to be too hot, and the taste isnt that great. I dont hardly ever use it, and I know that most more experienced vapers here prefer VV devices, so I must have this set up wrong...

What can I do to improve it?

I may be wrong but I think when an atty or carto is marked as 1.5ohms, it means there's 2 3.0ohm coils.. That's how I thought it was, anyways..

If juice gets in the battery part or the draw pipe it'll make that gurgle sound. Have you considered trying clearos? The vivi nova is a pretty big one right now, replaceable heads/different ohms. VV devices can be good for anything. VV simply allows you to vape whatever you have on it, doesn't mean you should be using cartos with tanks and what not..

Your juice plays a huge part in vaping too, some juices burn or taste burnt easier than others.

Just keep playing with it & asking questions you'll be straight.

Dual coil or low res. are'nt the best way to go with a lavatube. I'd recomend getting something at about 3 ohms.(single coil) Did the clearo not work at all? If it did'nt I'd try to pull the pos. pin out a little bit, maybe it's not making proper contact.

The clearo that came with it from Totally Wicked is called the Torpedo clearomizer, and I filled it with juice, let it sit for little while to wick up the juice, and tried vaping it and all I got was burnt cotton flavor! So I set it aside after removing the juice from it, then I filled it again a week later, let it sit even longer, vaped it and again, it was just burnt cotton taste! SSo I even tried to slightly prime it by squirting a few drops into the carto, and then I vaped it and got good flavor for 2 hits, then the juice I primed it with dried up, and it was back to burnt cotton taste again!

Apparently the juice isnt wicking into the carto at all.
