or better, the wood chipper test are where the Provari really shines

I'll buy you a brand new one if you can send your provari through a wood chipper greater than 10hp, running and in good working order, and it still works when it comes out the other end.

Sorry dude ... not a wood chipper, it was a hay baler.

The guy didn't find the Provari until the following season ... after it had gone through the baler.

Phhht. A good mech would have broken both a chipper and baler blades, get a few cosmetic dings, & work. [emoji12] [emoji1]

I was gonna say the same thing ... you want to get away with paying for only a Provari.

Who's gonna fix the broken wood chipper?

I'd send any mod through a baler and expect it to come out fine on the other end. And what difference is a year? Hay is kept dry. That's really all that would matter.

Not to say Provaris aren't well made, they certainly are, but the guys designing them are a little too thick-headed for my liking.

Even the dudes at Evolv said "We're not getting into the wattage wars" yet still came out with a more powerful chip for their next round (not as powerful as I'd like, but it has a new feature that nobody else is doing).

I have used Prover for a year and a half. Damn good devices for lower wattage tanks. I don't have to get into the indestructibility, many have already attested to that. I can also attest, steady consistent all day vape. Then I tried the Atlantis and the game changed....unfortunately that is where the Provari lost me. Great that the last update allows for .05 sub ohm, but that didn't boost it above 20, and the battery drained WAY too fast. So I moved to the SX Mini and have been very happy. Vapes the Atlantis 2 like a champ, and my Nautilus Tanks vape great!

It sounds like you are good with the iStick. If you want to go premium, want to blow clouds, SM Mini may be your next mod ;)

I have tried the high power devices and sub ohm tanks , RDA's and everything in between , to me , the best most flavorful vape i can get is with some of the newer RBA's with a device firing under 20 watts .

To me , high power always kills a bit of the flavor . I know others might not agree and thats A OK with me , nobody will ever convince me otherwise and i won't be able to convince them .

Don't care either way actually .

I own three Provari 2.5 and the new P3. The P3 has the new firmware and will fire my 0.6 ohm RDA. Most of the time I use my Kayfun Lite RTA with a 1.5 ohm coil on the Provari.

If you are looking strictly for clouds and high wattage, the Provari is not for you. It was designed for flavor, reliability, dependability, durability, and safety by a manufacturer who will support it for life. I use my mech and RDA when I want clouds.

For MY vaping style, the Provari is the best vaping device. But as you know vaping is subjective, and it all depends upon one's priorities, needs, and expectations. My priorities are flavor, then vapor. I'm primarily a standard ohm, low wattage (10 watts) vaper.

Why Provari?

I wanted to say something regarding "Baditudes" comment below .

"But as you know vaping is subjective, and it all depends upon one's priorities, needs, and expectations."

Imo , it seems people just getting into vaping these days are convinced they need a high wattage device and a sub ohm tank to vape and thats simply not true .

I see most people (not all), recommending Sigelei 150 watt devices and other similar mods and pairing it with tanks that are made for high power vaping (most sub ohm tanks).

I suppose they are OK but i would never recommend that type of setup for someone just starting out , i bet many newcomers don't even realize a huge majority of vapors just two years ago vaped well under 20 watts and seemed perfectly happy .

I just hope people realize that you can vape successfully with lower wattage devices and tanks other than the most popular at the current time .

If i thought sub ohm tanks and using higher wattage devices produced a better vape than i'm getting now i would be doing it but thats simply not the case.

To each their own , just don't be fooled into thinking there's just one way .

I agree with Baditude and Herb. Expectations and needs are subjective to each person.

I realize that vaping is still relatively new to me. I have a few high wattage devices which I use, but I do not use them at the high wattages. I prefer flavor over clouds. My high wattage devices are used for the temperature limiting aspect and still used at below 20 watts because a hotter vape doesn't translate to a better vape - for me. My provari is my every day device - not necessarily my all day device, but one I consistently use every day because of its reliability.

I am getting mind boggling good flavor from this new Kayfun v4 i bought , builds from 1.2-1.8 ohm and running only 15 watts it is the most flavorful vape i have ever experienced.

Freedom 2Vape , yes, it does seem many buy the higher wattage devices for two reasons , much improved battery life for the ones that run two 18650's and temp control.

I do not like hotter vapes at all , prefer neutral or on the cool side .

I've run snakes through the baler and found them in the wagon still alive but pinned under the twine. The way a baler operated any mod that goes through the lucky way is gonna be fine and the unlucky ones are gonna be toast.

In other words if you walked down the windrows dropping Provari and isticks and I followed with the baler some of each are gonna live and some are gonna die. The slicer will cut a Provari in half like it was lunch meat if its on the cutting stroke. When its packing it will just push it through unharmed.

Unless it was a round baler in which case there is no packing and any mod would walk away.

As has been said hay is stored dry so one or 10 years makes no differance.

holy shi.....I didn't know it can explode the battery. Looks like I'll be getting a non-mech for safety measures.

Edit: Just googled about it and HOLY SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII !!! I will never buy a mech ever again...since I'm a complete idiot with engineering, wiring, and electric. Have no idea what Ohm is really.

Thanks Bad Ninja, I think you just saved my face from being blow off.

FWIW, Regulated mods have the SAME risks and dangers that you have with a Mech.. Just like Vaping is SAFER than smoking, Regulated is ONLY safer than Mechanical, NOT SAFE. They just have circutry to lessen that risk.. BUT, what happens when the safety feature is what fails or fails without you being aware? You know that failure that turns your Smart battery mod into an IED.

My KF v4 arrived yesterday - I tried a clone, which had random leaking issues and super tight juice control, and enjoyed the flavor as well as the top fill method. My friend at the vapor shop says he has never had this problem with his authentic and I like to encourage innovation, so I ordered one.

As soon as I get it cleaned, I'll try a 1.2 Ω coil and see how it works. Thanks, Herb for the information and suggestions.
