You can buy the smoktech "tank only" at some places for 6$. Then either put a resurrector or boge xxl in it. The boge xxl (the proper length for the longer smoktecch tanks) aren't widely available yet to my knowledge, but soon will be as a lot of people are requesting them.

Hooiser ecig also sells pre punched single 2.0, 1.7, and dual coil cartos for this. While the last 3 cartos I mentioned are flanged, the work well. The first two I mentioned are highly regarded, and are not flanged, but you'll need to punch them yourself. Any "cheap" short tank you buy will need self punched cartos. I actually haven't seen THAT many vendors who pre-punch boge's for you, although they are out there.

You can also use the smoktech prepunched in shorter tanks that aren't theirs, but it will stick out of the top a little more, but no big deal.

The thing about the smoktech tanks is that they are very easy to come by, well built, and you don't absolutely have to use flanged cartos.

The sub tanks from momandpopvaporshop.com are really nice, inexpensive tanks. The sub tanks are polycarbonate tanks with grommets like the chibi except the sub tanks have o-rings around the grommets and a side fill port. It's tricky to full the chibi tank while letting the displaced air escape, this results in too much air pressure inside the tank and the carto will flood. The side port on the sub tank prevents this.

The smoktech dc tanks are nice as well. I mod mine with a side port though.

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/smugface/2293-carto-tanks-cause.html
and your money goes to a damned good cause to boot!

Hey that's great that it goes to help those kids. My 2nd granddaughter was born with a hole between 2 chambers of her heart. The good doctors went in there and fixed it and now she's a terror at three years, great little kid. So proud of her.

Got a question please. What cartos do these tanks use?

Also, need a link please to where you can order them? I looked but couldn't find the purchase thingey. Old age I guess on my part.

Thanks

I thought that the smoktech tanks that come with flanged cartos have to use flanged cartos because one of the end caps has a spot for the flange, without the flange, won't they leak?

Thanks for all the info so far!

I tried one with a regular carto, and cut it down. It didn't leak. The tank will slide on the carto though. I just gave up at that point 'cause it looked ugly cut down (ragged edge b/c I can't cut well), I didn't like dual coils, and didn't like punching cartos.

Yeah, I just punched a smoketech XL DC and never looked back, why should I have to buy a special carto to make use of a tank I already payed for? That and when they punched the carto (flanged) they punctured the center tube and the thing just leaked through the connector all day, which is why I figured this whole thing out in the first place lol.

provari1.jpg...this is a madvapes tank with a boge carto, I just cut down the tank to fit...no flange no leaks
