I ordered a kit a week ago. I called on Friday and the rep told me they would be sending my kit on Monday. Fast forward to today and my order is still pending and I find the following message in my inbox:

Hello,

We would like to thank you for your interest in and purchase of blu cigs. Your order has been received and is being processed at this time. We would like to apologize for the back log that the overwhelming demand for blu cigs has caused and are doing everything possible to get your order to you as soon as possible. At this time, there's no additional shipping information available on your order. Once your order has been processed and shipped, you will receive notification which will include your USPS tracking number. I hope that this information hashelped with your inquiry.

For faster assistance, please feel free to contact us via phone, toll free, at 1-888-207-4588.
All of our help desk operators are available 24/7 to assist you. This avoids the delay of waiting for return emails and allows us to resolve your issue immediately.

Thank you,
from some guy

Maybe this answers your question.

I have 3 cigs already so I'm not in any rush to get a blu. If it's your first e-cig, get a 901 (lots of good deals on 901 kits right now). But if you already have an e cig and have the pleasure of vaping, then order it and be prepared to wait. One day you will unexpectedly get it at your door and you'll be stoked.

Have fun

Unfortunately the threads were attracting multiple spammers and had to be closed... for now. We'll reopen them when our investigation into the spammers is complete.

Many thanks,

I figured that was the case. *waves fist at the spammers*

On a more random note I'm excited to find out today that I'm pretty sure the m401 carts work with the blu's. Because blu owners are probably aware that the blu's carts aren't great. Plus even if you re stuff the blu carts I rather have the option to pre fill some and put that rubber plug on the end so I can have yummy spares on me. :)

Thanks for looking into them SJ!

I also noticed that yesterday and the day before, someone registered and started bashing them pretty hard. I looked into the user and they had made five posts and they all were negative toward Blu. Made me wonder if they are now trying negative publicity, since the overwhelmingly positive was stopped. In our world negative can be better than positive sometimes.

Anyway, I have the username of the one making the accusations if a mod wants to PM me I will give it to you. I was going to report the posts but it didn't seem to fit in the parameters noted on the report page.

Mamacat .....there is quite a marketing game going on here.....it's really quite funny once you start to understand the game and as you say the negative posts are as much a part of the game as the positive ones are..... I think it must have something to do with how people get paid using their affiliate software.

Thank you! I would just hate to see all of the valuable info go to waste. Would it be more difficult to just delete/ban the spammers without trashing the whole thread(s)?

I will add, in regards to Blu, that while I am generally satisfied with the product itself -- I am not so satisfied with the company. After waiting forever to get my starter kit in (with no warning, or message from the supplier that there was a backorder until I saw it here and confirmed with a phone call) it finally came in. I tried it and liked the product. Then I realized one of the batteries was dead. I called that Saturday, surprised that anyone even answered, and was told it would be "escalated" to management/shipping and I would have a call or email on Monday. On Monday I got no such thing, and called back. They apologized and said I would, for sure, be contacted by Tuesday. On Tuesday I got no such contact and called back. I was on hold for about 45 minutes only to be told I would be "contacted ASAP about my order". I asked "What order?!" Finally, after conversing with this new person, I was told that they had not notated my account correctly. She said I had to mail the old battery in (which I half-expected, though I hoped they would have the quality to skip this step considering the time I had to wait because of backorders) and that only AFTER they received the old battery would they actually ship a new one. I had a similar experience with a bad battery I got from vaporstix.com, who shipped the new battery as soon as I told them I had the old one in the mail (honor system). Kudos to vaporstix... I love those guys.

Anyways, I asked if I would have to wait another month to get the new battery because they are so busy -- she said "I'm not sure. I can't really say either way." I basically told her if I did that I would no longer be ordering anything from them ever again. She apologized and I just told her I know it isn't her fault...but that they should also be empowered a little more to satisfy their customers in a time like this...especially being a new company.

I felt I was very very patient with them because I knew they were a new company, but it seems they don't wish to do anything to keep loyal customers who are willing to be patient. Instead they just want to placate you on the phone. I find myself wishing the m401 would just hurry up and come out with the planned PCC so I won't have to contend with the Blu company anymore...as much as I like their product.

/end rant

SIMPLE ANSWER.... get a 510 with a PCC. Plenty of vendors carry it. Plus you won't see any spamers regarding the Blu.

Hey surbitonPete -

It is truly mind-boggling that this company, or any for that matter, would stoop to such a level to gain customers. I guess it really is a good "short term" game to have going because it seems to be paying off for them for now. It'll be interesting to see where they are in the next few months. Just my two cents worth.

i know which threads your talking about i was following both of those, and they seemed legit to me.
i dont mean to step on anybodys toes but i own a few forums and say a band releases a new album and i happen to have a forum for that band, well all of the sudden like 200 ppl a day are signing up and making a buch of quick short posts. anywho it ends up sending up spam flares.
i think that thats what may have happened. blu's advertising campaign lauched a lil too well and the massive response of curious ppl caused a few spam flares to go off here.

i think thats what may have happened, that is unless you really think that blu paid ppl to come in here and post a bunch of times about it. i heard some nonsense like that in one of those threads. honestly their backorders is equivical to the recent popularity here.

i dont suppose that this has anything to do with why blu dosent have a supplier subforum yet? nah

anwho not trying to push anybody too hard here. its just that thx to the rules here i cant start a thread about this so i figured this is a good place to say what i had to say.

oh and btw if there are any of you out there who have yet to sign the petition. DO IT. DO IT NOW. seriously time is an issue here. the fda ..... that another story JUST PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION. thx
