What's the deal with Blu ???

I think your absolutely right. If it hadn't been for a Blu advertisement I would never have even known that e-cigs existed... much less come to this forum or bought my m401 (which I love).

I seriously doubt that. We had over 10,000 members who heard about ecigs and joined this forum before blu was even heard of here. I'm sure if blu didn't exist you still would have come across ecigs in some fashion on the net....as thousands of others before you have.

It is truly mind-boggling that this company, or any for that matter, would stoop to such a level to gain customers. I guess it really is a good "short term" game to have going because it seems to be paying off for them for now. It'll be interesting to see where they are in the next few months. Just my two cents worth.

noone has verified that there was any spamming done here by blu, i dont personaly think that this was a marketing campain either. but i just wanna know why the accusations? you making a bold statment like that is just going to attract other ppl to the idea and by the time the smoke clears everyone heres gonna think that blu's the devil. heck if i was another supplier and was not liking the competition i might send someone to cast doubt on there integrity by making accusations like the one your making.

i honestly found this place through blu. well so to speak. i was initally reading a rolling stones magazine and saw a pic of dicaprio smoking an e-cigarette. i had never heard of them before so i did a google search but quickly got sidetracked. i was looking through some torrents a few days later when i saw a banner on the site i was on and clicked it. normally i dont click banners but well it did its job, i was curious. anywho i browsed their website for a bit but i wasnt satisfied so i googled blu cigarettes and ended up here.

and as far as their affiliate program goes you have to get someone to click a banner to get paid. just ask whoever owns this forum, youve seen the blu ads here as well im sure, he/she is an affiliate as well. 8-o

anyway look im not trying to flame(dont think i am) and im not trying to agitate anyowe either, i just dont see the need for accusations based on .......... too much popularity??

i was reading the threads in question and there wasnt even much positive or negative feedback. it was just a bunch of ppl who where ancy about recieving their orders and wanted to know how long it was taking. so eveyone was post order dates, and ship dates, and arrival dates, and so on and so forth. that was the jest of it. serously. just go and check the on thats not been deleted. the one that was was just the same.

thanks enrogae i was starting to feel lonley there for a min. yeah i knew that they existed but hadnt given them much thought since i quite analogs nearly two years ago and had first seem them quoted as costing nearly $100. well at least thats what rolling stones said *shrugs*

I certainly agree with Lu!!

When I started out I found this site immediately; however, I didn't join immediately. I wanted to search and research before joining. I know this isn't true of some (maybe most) people but I find it easier to learn by reading (or listening) than I do from writing or asking questions about it. I remember my law professor telling us in our 101 class that we should never ask too many questions prior to conducting our own research, as in doing so your questions will inevitably be answered. In other words, you can't reinvent the wheel, you can only make it better but you can't do that until you know what you are trying to make better.

Now, I love this place and I have found it to be a great place to share tricks and tips for the legitimate end user, as well as a great support system for a wannabe ex-smoker. But when something such as the case at hand comes about, it really is discouraging to someone who really wants to find the valuable information available here. Seems to muddy the water a bit.

As nice as the CS at Blu have been (yes my order is BO as well with no apparent delivery date)..I SERIOUSLY doubt they are organized enough to generate spamming for ANY reason! While always polite, NO ONE there seems to ever have ANY info about anything. I think all of the short posts have been fueled by frustration and ignorance. Hopefully Blu can get themselves together long enough to ship out orders before they start spending time on the forums.

It's happened all too often before. It's Like shooting fish in a barrel as far as this forum and the un-educated masses are concerned.

and to add , when i see a relatively new and unknown device mentioned on this forum along with a load of posts about how great it is and everyones got one, I tend to think commercialist rip-off , spewing Lies to sell their wares. All my opinion ....ofcourse

The one where it was noted that I had actually been contacted via PM by the one you say I accuse?? So, knowing all about that thread, then you can certainly see that my "accusations" are with merit. Right?

From what I have seen and read, I believe that they are outsourcing telephone calls, so the reason that there is so much confusion and right-hand left-hand issues is because you are not actually speaking to an employee of Blu.

All it would take would be for a naïve company to employ a marketing company with some not-so-scrupulous marketing tactics, and 'hey presto'

well my 2 cents say.... it seems funny how the word BLU is back and no matter how much you refresh at least 2-3 posts about BLU are on the first page of this forum in todays posts always... I would also like to point out that it seems most everyone who has ordered from them is on a waiting list to get them... which tells me that this is a start-up company who is taking orders then buying inventory to fill them and would explain the long wait for your product and the lack of info as to expected delivery dates... youll also notice there is about 5 or so New Members who will spend all day long talking back n forth about BLU just to make sure these posts stay on the front page...

but in the few days i'm here i stumbled over the big blu thread and thought:
is this whole forum like that? placed product hypes how wonderful their e-cigs are ?

i was about to turn back to german language forums, but read a bit on here.
and i am glad i did, this place has a wide variete of opinions, wisdom and knowledge and many more, even if you don't understand every word.

It's my hope that I am not coming across as a spammer, I am just eager to share my experiences as a new e-smoker.

My latest Blu update: I finally received my re-order yesterday of carts (USPS delays unfortunately). Blu to me is a great product, but the pains of a fledgling company is definitely frustrating to me as the consumer. I am looking forward to getting my 510 (Titan) from Totally Wicked this Friday (counting the days to payday....LOL) as my main option and I am happy to use my Blu as my portable on the go option.

SJ and the fellow members of ECF, I really respect and honor the wonderful forum and information that you provide here and look forward to a great relationship here. Just curious on what happened with my sig....I was pretty proud of my analog free days

Don't post in the thread.

In case you haven't realized, you are just bringing these threads back to the top of the section every time you post about the questionable "marketing/promotion" going on for Blu Cigs.

(So in a sense, you are contributing to the problem you are complaining about.)

If you absolutely must voice your concern about a thread or post relating to Blu Cigs, I suggest you either report it or send a moderator a PM about it.

Either way, I can assure you that the forum staff is well aware of the issue, and we are actively dealing with the situation.

I really didn't expect this when I started this thread. I very rarely post anything,but I've been in this forum for about a year, when there was about ten people in it.
I've had Njoys, Ruyans , 901s, rn4081s ,mini DSEs , Gamucci, Juice from several vendors, etc.
The main reason this ecig caught my atention is that the carts are supposed to be sealed with aluminum foil, like the Ruyan vegas, and the Vegas is the only ecig that I've tried that I can smoke without getting liquid in my mouth.(I hate when that happens,and that is the reason I only drip my m401 ).
So I was just trying to get an idea of the quality of the juice in the carts and of course vapor production,throat hit ,etc. But aparently a lot of people hate this company without ever trying their product. It maybe good or bad I don't know, but irrational hate I don't understand.

Also, to the membership here in general, thanks for calling us new members, that found this forum due to researching the Blu, as spammers. You guys just know how to make people feel welcome.
