What's the difference be variable voltage and variable wattage ????

So I have a lavatube V2 and I love this thing. I also use inferno batteries on the go with tub tanks. But my big question is , what's the benefit of using a variable wattage device and what's the advantages off having both in the same mod??? Any help with this would greatly appreciated

With variable watts you figure out the wattage that you like and it will basically produce the same amount of power through coils with different resistances. Set it and forget it. Without vw available you just need to do a little figuring to know where to set the voltage. It is pretty much common sense after a short time though, and you cannot achieve anything special with a vw device as compared to vv only.

That is the concept, but it doesn't ring true for everyone. I rotate systems of different resistances, so technically I could set a VW for 8 watts (since I often like that) and no matter what I put on the device it would automatically adjust the voltage so I would be vaping at 8 watts. The problem is that I don't always like 8 watts, so I'm fiddling with the settings anyway. If all comes down to personal preference.
