I have a zap that I will be trying as soon as my new drip tip arrives. I see that it has a ceramic wick. I hear a lot about stainless steel. What is the difference and which is better?
A ceramic wick is a porous ceramic material that is cast. SS mesh is a mesh you wind into a tube, oxidize then wrap with the heating wire. The ceramics you just cut to length then wrap with the wire. I have not tried one yet but they are of interest to me. The only down side to a ceramic would be they would be difficult to clean and reuse. Upside to ceramics is no shorts.
