Does the type of drip tip make a difference in flavor?

I have had one cheap plastic drip tip have a nasty cheap plastic taste. Tried a few different chemical cleaning methods, but I could never get rid of it.

Other than that, if my rebuildable dripper's setup is a bit hot, I use a long metal drip tip named a "unicorn" tip, just to cool the vape a bit. There are a few tips designed for a certain purpose. Such as the donut drip tips that are meant for deflecting the spatter from atomizers that can spit. IE HH 357.

It's all personal preference. Some people claim to be able to taste a metalic taste with metal tips, some a plastic taste with plastic/acrylic. Comfort level is the major difference between the material used. Myself, I prefer tru-stone and glass over metal tips for the feel of them on my lips.

Longer tips can cool the vapor if you prefer a cooler vape.

Some people claim to be able to taste a metalic taste with metal tips...

I'm one of those that make that claim. Metallic DTs are at the bottom of my list. I use silicone/rubber DTs.

BUT, I'm a function over form kinda guy; no fashionista here.

Good thing for all of us that there's a wide selection available!

Yes. I can't stand the cheap ones. I find they have a funky taste. I also find different drip tips work better on different devices based on air flow, length and what not.

Even before I saw this thread I started playing with the many tips I have collected.
They do affect imo the taste and the throat hit

Have u had a metallic taste experience with aluminum? If so, is there a difference if you try stainless steel?

I get a metallic taste from chromed steel. But no taste from anodized aluminum. In fact, my favorite dt's are aluminum, except they get can really cold outside in this weather.
