What's the difference?

I own a halo triton. It is great and I love it but I'm wondering what's the next step up? I have seen some crazy looking devices since I've entered the world of vaping, most commonly the Provari? How is this better than my triton? I haven't messed with VV yet, but is it just a money sink? Or is there a big difference in what it does that I don't understand?

I'll move this to General Discussion, you'll get more responses there.

Batteries like your- ego type batteries have a fixed voltage. With a VV device, you can change the voltage to get a warmer (somewhat stronger vape).

You can always pick up a variable voltage battery if you want to try it. I 'think' your battery is a 510 and you should be able to use your charger and clearomizer on an ego twist or spinner battery.

You may be completely happy with what you have. My sister and a few friends have been using ego type batteries for a few years with no intention of getting anything else.

If you try it and like it, you might want to look into a VV/VW setup in the future.

Good luck! So glad you're happy vaping.

Vv/vw just make it easier to adjust power to the coil, with your current fixed voltage you can do the same to an extent by using low resistance (around 1.5-1.8) , standard resistance (2.2-2.4), or a higher resistance (3.0-3.5) ohm coil/carto. And as cardiwen said it gives you a warmer vape when you use a lower resistance or higher voltage

You get a few other benefits. Improved battery life. The ability to carry extra charged batteries and switch when necessary. Eventually your Triton will have to be replaced, as it has an internal battery with a limited life span, with larger vv mods that take external batteries you won't have that problem. You'll get a larger selection of toppers that will work well with a larger 510 mod, i.e. rebuildables that require a higher amp draw than will really work with an ego, if you ever decide to go the rebuildable route.
