I do not have a ego-c, but i think i can help with the rest of your question which is the difference between resistances:

I imagine you are using a ego battery, so it comes down to, when you use it, do you want the "smoke" to be warmer? and do you want a lot more vapor when you exhale? If so then a LR i(low resistance) s right for your battery usually a 650mah battery, but i have worked them on 1100mah pass throughs.

Now if you want colder "smoke" and less vapor then you would use the SR (Standard Resistance), there is another thing about SR's which is they work great when you getting into higher voltages.

I hope this helped a little, and oh...Welcome to the Forum!

The only difference other than the resistance (which Constantine laid out) is the LR should be stamped as such. As far as the "clicking", that could be a normal crackle from the coil as it heats up the liquid.

Thank you for this info! I've been wondering the same thing and thinking, "OMG! My ecig is gonna explode in my face!"

Haha, yeah it can seem like that at times. It's just a sign that the coil is doing it's job. You will come to find that you will welcome the sound and it's when you don't hear it, you will be worried!

@Constantine Yes,I use an Ego battery but it is not 650mah..It's 1100mah :)...That cold and warm part is the same to me..I didn't feel a warmer taste when I used a LR one..And The vapors are the same.I even think they are thicker(maybe my lungs are the cause :D ).So that's why I asked for the difference.Cause I didn't noticed any, except the clicking sounds.

I'm getting an ego-C Twist on Friday so the SR will be good because I will let it set on 4.8v(already tested it with a LR atty)

Thank you guys :)

anytime, and you will love the higher volts......and thank you as i learned something from you :D I have a ego pass through at 1100man, another pass through that goes from 3.2 to 3.7 to 4.2, and i have my new baby that goes from 3.2 all the way up to 7.4....and let me tell you do NOT go passed 5.3 major sore throat, but after i rest i will try to dial it to 4.8 :D

the Teacher has become the student

please keep us posted on what you thought of SR
