What's the downside of carto holes punched to big?

What's the downside if me having my two holes in my carto punched too big besides flooding? It does not seem to getting flooded. It doesn't seem as my carto is not wicking juice from my tank

One word Flooding!. I have a punch and use to do carto's exclusively. I gave up on big holes and many small wholes. I ruined a bunch that way.

If it's wicking and it's not flooding...there is no downside!!!

Hi - mine don't exactly flood, but can wick the juice faster than it has a chance to vaporize and I get some in my mouth or can feel I've inhaled some of it.

That's the problem it doesn't seem to be wicking

I currently have a whole punched to big in one of my carto's and it is flooding into the threading in my mods(Vamo and Smoketech Tele). I only have one more 501 carto left and don't want to use my 801's with and adapter so I've still been using the flooding carto. It hits just fine other than the flooding. My question is what kind of harm can this do to my mods? P.S not trying to still your post OP. Just thought my question fit in here.
