As it seems to change pretty regularly, I thought I'd ask again!

I've got a couple people very interested---and, of course, they want as simple as possible, but doesn't need to look like a cig! Yea, one battle down. The looks of an ego didn't scare them away. Rev2 on the other hand was just a little too different.

Both like the idea of a pass through--a lot.

Here's what I'm thinking -- Vapor4Life or Volt. BUT--I'm hesitant to recommend 808D1 as I didn't care for them a few months ago.

I also like Cignot overall and have been a JoyE fan so I will suggest their passthrough as a pretty economical way to start. Their kit comes with both atty's and cartos.

Your thoughts?

Whatever suggested--can't be complicated site. Some of these sites still bug me tho may be better priced!

I would go with the new echo 650 or 1300 for 45.00 and they use a 3 ml bottom horiz coil carto. It is an awesome PV and the best I've found in 18 months of searching. Bill has the best prices on them. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...ld-has-echo-e-cartomizers-14.html#post3581558
They have the new generation auto batteries that work great and the cartos don't leak so there isn't any juice leaked into the battery. You just remove the carto to refill by dripping or syringe. You can use the smaller 808 cartos with them for testing juice being as they have 808-d connection.

I would stay with the ego form factor. I hear good things about the echo with it's cartos. An ego or riva with LR cartos would be good too.

If they want a mini, I tried a volt from smokeless image and it works pretty good. Their cartos have a good flavor, vapor, and TH. I only used it for about 5 minutes but I was impressed. (it is also an auto in case they want that type if thing)

If a big batt is considered, then I would forward the E-Power 14650 or the new 18650.

I got started vaping on a recommendation to buy the 14650 and am still using it as a backup to my VV these days and I've gifted another one away, I am a die-hard E-Power believer.

Check 'em out...the results (obviously) are near the end, and worth waiting for.

I have an e-power and I love it but starting out I recommend the ego. You'll have two complete units and in case of failure, you're not dead in the water until replacements arrive. Regarding a PT, I've read several threads about early failures on these and I've had two go bad as well, so it's kind of soured me on them. I'd rather go with an ego, then later on pick up a good mod such as the e-power. Replacing the batts in an e-power won't break the bank and you're not tethered to anything.

Liberty flights usually has good prices on genuine joye ego kits. Check them out.

Ego's are great and all but for a beginner kit. I would HIGHLY recommend a Volt. Decently priced, VERY simple to use, and best of all. It performs like a freaking CHAMP. You can also customize the order to everything except the LED lighting for the pcc. Anything over 50 has free shipping and the coupon code is still in effect: heatwave (23% off)

Most beginners would want something like this and also, it's a surprisingly satisfying vape.

Agree with washvap. For a beginner, Volt would be the way to go. It's pretty much plug and play- not much of a learning curve to frustrate someone just starting out. Battery life is good, better than the 510 I started with last year. Doesn't have the battery life of a mod, but it's still pretty good. The auto batteries are really nice.

Cartos are easy to refill just by dripping - no spin required. I think the filler isn't packed as tightly as the Boge cartos I use.

I just bought one for my GF a month ago, and I'm thinking of getting one for myself.

I also give a thumbs up on the Volt. I have one and it is great. Worked great from day one. I have 3 batts for it and I have never run one dead yet. Very easy to use, great th and lots of vapor. I also bought a Inferno and I find I vape it most of the time, for some reason I really like the tank set up on it. Very smooth. I am now looking to buy a e-go, I know, I already have the vaping bug..LOL

Everybody keeps stating the volt is great for a beginner, but I use it 90% of the time. its easy to use and it works like a champ, and surprisingly enough the stock flavors are decent. These "next gen" 808d's are wonderful units and will make the transition from smoking to vaping a much more painless adventure for the newcomers today. a starter kit, passthrough, carts and refill juice all available from the same place and probably all attainable for 100$, they also have sample cart packs aswell, so you can try 20 different flavors for 16 bucks.
