What's the most overpriced piece of vape equipment you've seen in a shop?

I kid you not, about a year ago I was in a shop that had an iTaste MVP (the original that came with the iClear30), old news at that point, for.....you won't believe this...$160.00. I told the shop owner how I'd gotten an authentic several months back for $45. He went on to tell me "Are you sure it was authentic? I got those right from the manufacturer! You must have bought a fake". I didn't buy a fake, the authenticity code told me so. This guy was just a crook. I shook my head and walked out.

Well.. I live in a country that e-cigarette is really new so the brick & mortar shops they are bumping the prices of clones. for example a Derringer RDA that runs for about $10us they sell it here for $60us. Also the Snow Wolf 200w TC runs for about $100us they sell it here for $250us. I never buy anything locally and have to wait to get good prices.

My shops I've been too are pretty reasonable on prices. Usually about $10 more than online and sometimes I'll buy them to support a good local shop that's respectful. These shops legitimately care about safety unlike a lot of shops. Plus these shops offer military discount so I get 10% off which is usually just the tax and about 5% off of the product.

While I don't mind spending a little more to support my local b&m, since their location is so close to my house, and they mix their own juice, I do mind when equipment is totally overpriced.
So much so, I feel like they are secretly laughing at the guy that bought an iStick 50 for over 100 bucks. But I guess it all depends on where you live, and the supply/demand of it, just like anywhere else.

Well, if the self-proclaimed #1 vaping brand in America have shops (and I believe they do) then $59.99 for a $8.66 subtank clone with green O-rings takes some beating.

$160 was a popular shop price for MVPs a while back (£99.99). I paid £35.

Now worth £15 trading nearly-new.
Would that be the same company that changed their name to vaporfi? Their stuff is pretty damn expensive. And rebranded lol. I saw a shop selling evod clones for $30.

B&M have an overhead challenge, which many fail to understand quantity + customer service win out over higher end user prices every time. It can be a learning curve.

A local shop currently has the IPV3 Li for $159. , which we know is double the going rate atm

However I have no qualms about spending twice as much as I should on batteries if I trust the local B&M, which creates a relationship as well as supports the people tending to our wants and needs.
