What's the point of super high wattage devices?

I have no idea it was just a pic I found on Google. I would assume so.

Well i went to Vivid Smoke and they have an Igo W3 but it has just a regular post. I searched sites in the USA and here in the UK and found the same, even the clones are the same, but i couldn't find anything like that centre post in your image. I'd imagine it would be really difficult if not impossible to build 8 coils in an Igo W3 with the regular centre post.

I'd like to see this thing firing those 8 coils though.:thumb:

To each is own .....

I've never vaped over 8 watts in my entire 3 years of vaping. :)

I think I tried 10 once and felt like I was going to suffocate.

I wouldn't know what to do with 30, 50, or 100 watts.

For people who like a warm vape and lots of vapor, and have advanced delivery devices on top that "go with", I can understand why they go in that direction though. Plus the longer battery life, the ability to use dual batts, etc.

I just could never inhale any of that.

That's the great thing about vaping with all the devices and tanks out there everyone can find there "perfect vape" for them spot. As i posted in another thread.
Vape what you enjoy. If someone vapes at .3ohms and 100watts and another vapes at 1.8ohm's at 15watts neither is doing it wrong.

Yes. It is good.

Back when I started we kinda had to "make do". There wasn't a whole lot of choices.

But I've also noticed that, newbies can get overwhelmed now, pretty easily, due to so many choices. So best to just get them started with SOMETHING, then it is a process for them to figure out what they like and don't like.

It's like finding ejuice you like......no shortcuts......have to try it.

Watts by itself is a meaningless term.

You could try 10 watts on a .2ohm coil all day long and it won't produce a bit of vapor. The resistance is too low.

Personally, I could give a rip less what anyone wants to use or build.. That's their business. But what I hate is people who can't take a joke when it is quite obvious to anyone that another person is joking. The problem with these types of people is they get all "wounded knee" when you slightly joke about what they use to vape on. Too .... and serious for my liking for sure.
I am proud to be a tootle puffer so you know I do not take offense at my style of vaping.

Why do you need 200W? So you can actually fire this amazing octo-coil of course.

Looks like far too much trouble to suit me. I like one wick, maybe 2 is ok.

nah I know you don't...Some folks though really get "wounded knee" just from simple jokes....... If most folks knew me even partially, which most on the forum do, they would know I poke fun and joke around lots. Half of the stuff I say is merely for entertainment purposes and has no meaning. But, Like I say...I could care less how or what people vape. I am just glad that people get off of death sticks so that one day they aren't sitting in the croakers office getting a diagnosis of lung cancer. So, I am HAPPY for ALL folks who vape. But I do not understand manufacturers making mods increasingly powerful. For some folks this is great and much fun but for me I am totally satisfied with a mere 70Watts.

It is neat that someone did it though. A very nicely done build and very creative figuring out how to fit all that wiring with the modified center post. It wouldn't have been possible, however, without mods capable of higher wattages.

What I do not like is that manufacturers are quitting making the stuff I like. Protanks and such.
May they only get dry hits
