If its heated too long or too hot at one time does it go out quicker?

Would giving them a longer rest period between vapes extend their life?

Or does it have anything to do with drying them out or flooding them too much??

Anything that causes a break in the circuit. Too hot to where it burns out like a lightbulb. The 'too hot' can come from to much battery power for too long - like in the HV mods. The coil becomes gunky with ejuice and particles where the resistance is affected to cause it to burn hotter. Flooding itself doesn't cause it but it might cause a build up of juice on and around the coil. Dry attys burn really hot and will go out like a light bulb.

Badly performing attys should be cleaned and what you use to clean can affect the attys. Longer rest periods won't help a gunky atty or a dry atty.
