okay I have been vaping for over a year. Very familiar with cartomizers and tanks and such. Been an avid Boge 510 carto LR user. Is it just me - or is anyone else experiencing alot of flooding issues lately. Has the absorbing fillers been changed so drastically that they seem to flood alot? Actually, it seems like the eliquids get real watery and rise up and over-flow the cartomizers.
I can't seem to get my tank to work without constantly flooding. Have tried three different cartomizers and ensured that gaskets are not leaking. But still get lots of watery flooding issues.
Even if I use the 510 cartomizers and fill using the condom method..... they work for about 15 puffs and then start watery flooding.
Has anyone experienced this? I am wondering if after 15 months of vaping my tolerance of long hard puffs is the problem? It seems I need to take bigger puffs to get satisfied. Im wondering if I am pulling the eliquids up to overflow or if indeed the cartomizers are now using such an easy absorbing filler , that they actually get flooded much easier.
What also puzzles me - is this watery liquid flooding. It seems after they flood a couple of times, the cartomizer become airy and very little vapor. Its not burned out - just tasteless. Please anyone let me know if anyone is experiencing this - or better yet - how the heck to fix it? I use 50/50. Sometimes 60 VG / 40 PG

I've not noticed a difference with filler material with boge LRs, but they have gone down in resistance a bit. Used to be an LR was 2.4-2.6 ohm. Now they might dip below 2.0 ohm. This means the area around the coil in the carto is getting hotter than it used to, and vaporizing more juice in that area. If the juice is not thin enough, it can take too long to replenish that depleted area, and taste like it needs filling when it doesn't. And if you are using a 4.2V Riva then the coil is getting hotter than on a 3.4V Ego. Some Rivas/Echos/KGO/Ego batts won't work with LR cartos, since the drain is too high. I get this most often with the 2.1 ohms or less cartos, rarely with 2.2 ohms or more. Of course this implies using a volt meter, but that is something any serious vaper should have.

It could be your juice is not thin enough for these cartos. try adding about 5% water to the juice. When filling or topping off, if the carto is gurgly (flooded), blow it out into a paper towel. Pooled juice on top will flood the coil or leak or both. Give it time to wick after hits.

If you are cleaning the cartos and reusing them, their filler sometimes needs to be fluffed up a bit, since they can get too compressed and not take liquid as well. I use a small pair of tweezers or a safety pin.

And I use a drip tip for easy topping off and viewing of the filler material.

I don't have good luck at all with tank attys of any kind, they tend to get tired or burned tasting too quickly, but I attribute that to me using only VG juices that are still too thick. Not taken with them when they work right, however, so I never bother trying to fix this. I use a Cartilla tank and some CE2 clearo type tanks. Juice has to be very thin for these or else they don't wick well. Not had significant flooding or leaking with those. If they are a bit gurgly, I generally just pull fast without firing the coil and free it up, then vape as usual. They do need to be cleaned however, and a dirty coil can increase in resistance, making it not as hot to effectively vaporize liquid and free up a slight flood.

Not sure if this helps, but its my Boge LR and tank experience.
