I have a Halo G6 too and 3 weeks into the move from analogue cigs I have no desire to return. I have just ordered my first batch of liquids from a retailer other than Halo (more flavours) and am hugely excited. On recommendation of Jeff from Wordup Ecig, I have invested in a joyetech eGo-T 1000mah and am HUGELY excited about trying the tank system. From the vid, it looks dead simple to use. I have issue with the battery life of my G6 and I am hoping that my new investment will sort that out for me.

I simply love the fact that I am no longer smoking or even desiring to smoke analogue cigs. Food tastes better and I have found the flavours completely removed from tobacco to be more satisfying as I distance myself from the habits and flavours associated with "traditional" smoking.

I just started vaping, and like the simplicity of the 808's I got from smoketip. They had a sale and got 2 batteries, the chargers, and 6 cartridges for 39.95. I really wanted to try out manual, but this company doesnt offer them :-(. Why I went with them was because of the sale price, and most importantly, the no-hassle lifetime warranty on the batteries. Does anyone know where I could get a couple manual 808's with a lifetime and a reasonable price on them? Thanks

I've never heard of an 808 battery with a lifetime guarantee. If you get six months out of them you've done well. I order my 808's from Heaven Gifts, about $8 each for a 380mah manual or auto. My last order was for 4 batteries and postage from cChina to Australia was $7, so it cost me about $40 all up. I know most people from the US would prefer to buy locally, but I'm just giving you a bit of an idea of how cheap using kr808 gear can be.

I like KR808D gen 2 horizontal coil cartomizers alot. The batteries on a KR808, well the life is too short for my liking--- that may be what some people find inferior. They do not taste bad they are easier to deal with than any other carto I have tried and they are consistent if you use them properly and with juice that is not high in VG. You can't burn them like other cartos which is a big plus for someone new at this or not new at this. The KR*)* gen 1 I have no experience with-- there is a distinction from what I have read.

stinky they are lol....but man do they already taste like lick'n an ashtray just after two days haha. Now I kinda feel bad for giving my ex trouble over her nagging about me smoking lol...she had to kiss that!

If they are stinky you must have vaped them dry and not refilled them? I have never had that problem. Sounds like a dried up carto to me--- thats a user issue.

yeah i mean i have 2 tececig 808 auto atty's and love them both, i get a good 6-7 hours out of a charge and that's vaping pretty much all day,................

You are going to leave a vastly incorrect impression for some new person with this statement. You CANNOT change the physics of batteries. 100 - 180 mAh batteries provide an hour or a little more of vaping time for a moderate vapor. Plain and simple. 99 vapers out of 100 will get that 1+ hour from those size batteries regardless of what you state. And even if you have the larger 300 mAh batteries, the average vaper will NOT get 6 - 7 hours on them. That's just plain BS.

A standard 808 battery, at 280 mAh, is pretty nice, I got about 3 hours use from them, not continuous but based on my vaping style, and an 8008 XL battery runs 380 mAh. (the standard 510s are the 180 mAh, I've been told).
I still keep a couple of 808 auto batteries, they're absolutely fine, for when I want to go hands free or if I'm doing something where there's a reasonable chance of a PV getting lost/broken. Simple, work quite nicely.
Would I want to give up my HV/VV mods, go back to 808 full time? No, I prefer the gear I have now, like the greater power. Was the 808 plenty good enough, got me off the cigs? Absolutely :)

Have been using 808's since May and love them. The ones I have are on their last legs and am leaning towards getting some of the old style volt batts and a charger. The size just works for me at this point. Finding good 808 cartos was a costly endeavor lol but I think that goes for all styles. To each his/her own. Whatever style device that helps you quit or cut down on the analogs is worth its weight in gold.

I think you overestimate how much the "average" vaper vapes, we don't even know how much the average ecf'er vapes. I don't get 7 hours on an ego but several people I have gotten into vaping get all day vaping out of them, really dependent on the user. I would say based on the vapers I know personally most could expect 3-5 hours on a 300 mah, I would say based on the way people on ECF talk most could expect an hour or less on anything smaller than a 26650 (yes I exaggerate, but not by much)

I think the person who NEEDS a 18650 or Darwin to vape has moved so far beyond the average vaper they can no longer relate. We don't have hard numbers on users, even using just the people on ecf as a "guide" we don't have hard numbers..most of us here have so many devices its not even funny.

I know 4 people who vape closely (family or close friends) three of them use an ego (all three use different atomizer set ups) one uses a 510/pcc set up and a pass through. None of them use mods, none of them use anything more advanced than a fat battery 510

I know 3 people casually who vape, one uses a gas station bought kr808 (smoketip) one uses an ego look alike and one, who owns her own brick and mortar vape store, uses a regular old joye 510 with clear cartomizers...she says her husband uses a dse-601 epipe.

They all report amazingly different vape times on there devices. Your leaving a vastly incorrect impression for some new person when you assume to know what the heck an "average" vaper is. We just don't have the numbers.

if you read what i said earlier in the thread stating that i wasn't even sure if these batt's were 808's, they could be 501's for all i know as i am still a newb.

but no, i'm not lying. LIFETIME WARRANTY, and 5,6, sometimes even 7 hours on a single charge auto batt. and that's vaping quite a bit, the batt is rarely far from my lips. now at work, a batt maybe lasts me 2 hours. but at home or anywhere but work yeah, dead serious, 5,6, or 7 hours on a charge.

now, the other thing i'd like to know, is someone said something about a "mini" 808? anyone care to share a link?

I don't think they're bad at all. I just hate for new people to read that a mini battery lasts for 8 hours and people are vaping a lot. Unless you have a pv that defies the laws of physics, it's not going to happen. If people have that expectation when they purchase one, they're going to be disappointed.

I agree. I've never had one...never even laid my fingers on one. I have heard of manufacturers OVER stating the mAh on their batteries, but I've never heard of one UNDERstating it. But I suppose it could happen. I think some folks are just very tactile...they hold them a lot and don't vape nearly as much as they think they do. I know I recharge my 1000 mAh batteries about twice per day. Can't imagine getting that same kind of mileage out of a 200-300 mAh battery...

As a rounded number figure 1 hour of vaping for each 100mAh. The time the PV spends in your pocket, or laying on your desk, needs to be added to the total time that the charge will last. Also understand that the resistence/voltage that the person is using will change that figure a lot.

I can easily see a person going 5-6 hours between charges on a 180mAh bat, but that in no way implies that they can vape for 5-6 hours on one. Every second a person holds the button down at a specific resistance/voltage will use the same amount of mAh regardless of the size or maker of the battery or the PV it is used in. This even holds true with regulated voltage devices like the eGo, you are simply using the battery at a lower voltage.
