That happened to me with a Nemesis I received yesterday. It works with some atties after adjusting the pin and in some configurations but mostly the battery is not long enough to make contact. I have magnets on the way.
Nemesis is a modular mech. You certainly have one too many rings on it.

there is a 5mm(i believe) beauty/kick ring that you need to remove. They really blend into the rest of the tube well when attatched so a lot of people miss them at first.

Is the signing for packages new for FT? My last order was a year ago but never had to sign for anything. Maybe it was because there was liquid?

Yes, I tried every possible configuration and it does work with at least one of my atties but in that case the battery is too long for me to lock the switch. I want it to fit everything and work as it should. I think a little magnet would solve the problem.

Did you take off the 5 mm beauty ring? Its a spacer, you should not need anything for a nemesis ever. Since the button lock screws down im not understanding how a battery can be too long.

Part4 is a kick extention
Part 3 is a kick spacer/beauty ring if needed or if you use an atty that makes the 510 stick out too far

On tubes all the same color part 3 is nearly invisible and hard to see. Batteries will not fit if its left on

For most 18650 you just need part 2 and 5

Yes |Thrasher I did. I would agree that an authentic Nemesis would probably not need any modification at all. But this is a clone. It's not perfect though it looks great . It needs just a little modification is all.

Ive never seen a nemesis even a clone that didnt work fine out of the box save for 1 with a messed up spring and a couple with screwed up/missing insulators. Its a very simple mod to use and produce. Cant fathom one that is too short for some batteries and too long for others.

Just the description of the problem alone screams user error to me

A magnet being the only conductive metal to the 510 will cause voltage drop in your mod. The contacts to the battery are the most important parts for conductivity. Thats why alot of these mods use pure copper or even silver-plated copper pins, even when the rest of the mod is made of some other entirely different metal.

How about the insulator and pin parts of this then?

That could very well be - I'm not even disputing that.

can you take 2 pictures, 1 of the nemesis completely disassembled and 1 put together in 18650 mode? (i'm assuming that's what you're using in it.) If you can get one of the fire switch and the battery adjustment on the top cap that would help even more.

That would greatly help in diagnosing your problem.

You've hijacked the thread. I'll try to help the op too since I didn't realize it wasn't you..

only review of the mod I could find on you tube, he seems to go over the adjustments.. Although I still don't understand how to adjust for battery rattle unless the insulator around the bottom firing pin also screws out.

maybe I'm just having a slow day and not seeing it.

I never liked adjustable bottom pins because if you adjust it higher than the outer ring (delrin), you're in BIG trouble. A bottom pin adjustment should be for switch throw ONLY, and never used to adjust for battery length.
My suggestion with that mod is that if you have rattle, toss the flat top batteries & get button tops.

agreed. Looking around at the pictures of this mod it seems like a bad design to my novice eyes.

I had no intention of hijacking the thread. My first post was to offer a solution to the op and saying I had the same problem. If people chose to react to what I said, that is hardly my fault. You seem to be coming down on me like a ton of bricks for no reason at all.

    lol. I was more joking.

Earlier I wasn't trying to be rude saying it was user error, i had the same problem for a few minutes with my neme. But you seemed to be blaming the mod and that isn't logical it's too simple a tool. An old boss of mine used to love telling people to blame themselves not their tools.

Take a deep breath. He also asked you to post a couple of pictures so he could help you.
You did kind of hijack the thread, though...
