I have been playing with some diy mixes, and been fairly happy with some, dumped a couple down the drain lol, but been having fun learning some stuff. I got the tpa ry4 mix from canvape, and mixed it up at 15% flavor on april 23rd. That's all I did, and have noticed a very 'boozy' smell, and it's not really a pleasant smell. Is this normal while it steeps or have I done something wrong/missed some magic ingredient? The 'boozy' smell is getting less, and am thinking it maybe is still steeping, but figured it would be about ready at the 2 week mark. I really like ry4, so wanted to be able to make my own, but can't get the seedman's concentrate in canada, so figured this would work. Anyone have any constructive suggestions? Any help is appreciated.

k so at 3-5% is it pretty close to what the stuff you buy is? I will dilute this down to 3 bottles and see how it goes, that's better tho, cuz I was a little concerned with how much flavoring I would have to use at 15% lol.
this would explain why my blueberry tobacco concentrated flavoring from Totally Wicked came out so floral-y! ive been mixing it at 15% and i just thought it was a floral vape. i might try mixing it down, but i kinda like it how it is. plus i dont know how to do that. i only know how to mix from scratch, using an e-liquid calculator...

No magic numbers but you can reduce by 25/50/75% easy enough with your premixed Base.
15% flavoring in 10ml - Dilute with 5ml Base for 7.5% flavoring same Nic strength.
Adding 3ml unflavored to 10ml would be near 10% flavoring.
Yeah the one guy said 5% so I took 10 ml of it, 10 ml 48 mg nic and 10 ml pg to keep my original 24mg and is now at 5%. I'll check tomorrow and if it starts smelling better I'll do the rest down too
I've found that most people mix there tobacco flavors (ry4's and such) at anywhere from 5 - 8% and there fruits and candies (Non-tobaccos) from 8 - 10%. I do strictly tobacco mixes and don't go beyond 7% and find them very close to commercial flavors I try to clone.
If it still smells boozie try leaving the cap off for 24 hours to let the alchoal evaperate. A lot of tobaccos are made with alchoal.
