I got the Infinite Origen v2 today, I tried vertical and horizontal dual coils.
The vertical one got dried really fast, didn't soak the liquid fast enough (kinda the same issue I had with genesis tanks).
Horizontal coils I had to place really high (at the middle of the positive pole) so the end of the coils won't heat up too much from lack of wicking.
When I placed it at that height, it kinda blocked the air holes and it was hard (and too hot) to vape.

I'm sure I'm just don't build it in the best way so I'd love to hear from you how you successfully build yours, or which video tutorial you followed to do that.

BTW, The Magma on the other hand, is close to perfect IMO, I really enjoy it!

Thanks!

i have an authentic Origen V2. I am using dual vertical coils. 28g kanthal, organic cotton wick. 0.9 ohm build. i get fantastic results with this build. flavor is super strong and crisp. my juice last for quite a time as well since i can fill it with 1mil or more of juice, i packed a good bit of cotton in the well though. i would get that cotton in the bottom and keep it all together. for example.... some builds i have seen people run their wick through the coil then pack the well with bits of cotton separate from the wick. i dont do that.... i get long strands of cotton wick, feed them through my coil then get needle tip tweezer (the really pointy sharp ones) i grab the wick under the coil and just start nudging it down in the well until it gets a good thick amount of cotton in there. not too tight and thick, but just enough so that there is some resistance in the cotton well. that will hold A LOT of juice. the strands that i use for my wick are long as i said, probably a good 5-6 inches long for EACH wick. my wicks arent rolled up tight either, just lightly rolled so i can feed them through the coil you want them to be a little fluffy but in shape of a wick, not just a cotton poof. this will allow you to fill it with juice much more then a poof or separate strands of cotton packed down there. keep it all together and you should get great wicking and great results.

long message! but i like to be thorough. :D hope this helps, as i said i get great results with my Origen i never have wicking issues or a burnt flavor..... just great vape guaranteed.

ps. i also enjoy my Magma, amazing flavor. It was my favorite atty in fact.... But now that i have been using the Origen V2 lately..... i honestly like it more. its built so much better and it doesnt leak ever. the magma would leak through the airholes often and the 510 connection was just not great. my Magma is authentic as well, but the quality of the Origen V2 is soooooo much better then the Magma.

ive got horizontal coils in my tobeco origen. 26g kanthal, 0.5Ω. short/medium length cotton wicks, only dipping into juice wells. it rocks. wicks great, never a dry hit and 2 second lung blasts are winning. the build quality is outstanding, especially for around $20.

here's some pictures of my current build. dual vertical 24awg 0.25 ohm microcoils. wicks just fine. make sure not to stuff too much wick through the coils or else it will choke and lead to dry hits. this setup is mostly for clouds, but the flavor is still amazing. i usually use my genesis as everyday carry these days

and here's an older build i had in there. single horizontal 24awg 0.4 ohm microcoil over a negative post. i had the wick go into each side of the well. flavor was great and used less juice. great for an everyday setup.

I don't see why you would pack an atomizer full of cotton.. I leave my wicks to where they barely touch the deck dry.
i dont pack the atomizer full... i pack the wells full :p its so i can fill it with a ton of juice and it stay there all day. it holds over 1.5 mil of juice... thats awesome. we all have our own methods, which is why this thread is titled "whats your best setup origen rda". its simple and it works like a charm for me. in fact its so effective i can leave the house WITHOUT bringing my bottle of juice with me!..... thats pretty amazing for a dripping atomizer :D

watch ToddsReview on the origen v2 he has been using it for years and i originally got the idea from him.... just tweaked it for myself.

with the wells packed full of cotton, a lot of that juice is never going to get to the coils

I find this to be very true as well. My cotton wick is just laid down on the well by maybe 1/4 of an inch. I dont fill the wells with juice. I drip 5-6 drops every 5-8 mouth hits on a 0.5hm dual coil setup

can you post a picture of your build?

it is the infinite clone, i don't know the ohms because the 510 is to short to register on the meter. i know its low but it doesn't burn or anything, it just doesn't seem to produce much flavor

hmm, those legs are really long. i would recommend building closer to the negative post. i doubt that would affect the flavor much, but hot legs could definitely alter flavor.

you can alter the position of the holes in the positive post by unscrewing the positive nuts and spinning the positive post with a screwdriver at the 510 connection. raising the coils to be even with the positive holes might help a bit too.

if all else fails, try horizontal coils. i know some people swear by them.

@ suspectK I have an ohm meter and a multi meter. The 510 threads are two short to make a connection on the ohm meter. The multi-meter gets all wonky when I try to measure attys, it jumps all over the place. I have been using steam-engine to estimate the ohms on my origen, but I always use my ohm meter for all my other builds, it works as a deck holder too while I build.

@alkaiser I shortened the legs and put a little cotton over the top of the well to reduce the chamber, it definitely helped but still not getting outstanding flav. I guess ill try the horizontal coils and play with it some more...

yeah, if you're build is too low, it'll pump out the clouds but the heat of the vapor will definitely mute the flavor.

the flavor is best usually around 0.4-0.8 with dual coils for 28 awg and higher. unless you have thicker gauge wire (around 24 awg), you can get away with lower builds due to longer heat up times.
