Hey guys - question.

I need a system to sub ohm while on the go and was considering the origen. When the wells are full, can you put the origen on its side without leaking?

Could I do that with the magma?

Thanks guys.

They would both leak. The magma possibly slower than the Origen but nothing is holding that juice in there. What I do while in the go is to vape it semi-dry, then close off the air holes and pocket it. I haven't had any leaking with this method.

@ suspectK I have an ohm meter and a multi meter. The 510 threads are two short to make a connection on the ohm meter. The multi-meter gets all wonky when I try to measure attys, it jumps all over the place. I have been using steam-engine to estimate the ohms on my origen, but I always use my ohm meter for all my other builds, it works as a deck holder too while I build.

@alkaiser I shortened the legs and put a little cotton over the top of the well to reduce the chamber, it definitely helped but still not getting outstanding flav. I guess ill try the horizontal coils and play with it some more...

You can get alligator clips for the ends of your multimeter leads. They're inexpensive, like two bucks. You just clamp them on, zero out the additional resistance, and clamp the other end onto the pos and neg posts. The alligators are great for when your atty 510 is too short, measuring hybrid attys with no 510, and they're also great for testing voltage under load.

Or you can get a whole mess of em for like a dollar more.

How do you do that if the wells are full? Wouldn't that take a whileto vape?

i dont pack the atomizer full... i pack the wells full :p its so i can fill it with a ton of juice and it stay there all day. it holds over 1.5 mil of juice... thats awesome. we all have our own methods, which is why this thread is titled "whats your best setup origen rda". its simple and it works like a charm for me. in fact its so effective i can leave the house WITHOUT bringing my bottle of juice with me!..... thats pretty amazing for a dripping atomizer :D

watch ToddsReview on the origen v2 he has been using it for years and i originally got the idea from him.... just tweaked it for myself.

Prior to this post I have been doing the braided organic cotton wick into the well, and then covering with organic cotton batting. This has worked pretty well, but I started to wonder if one cohesive piece would be better. I've just set up a batting wick in one piece stuffed into the well (I have 100 ft. of organic cotton braided wick coming in the mail). Viola, works great. Let's see over time. Thanks!

it is the infinite clone, i don't know the ohms because the 510 is to short to register on the meter. i know its low but it doesn't burn or anything, it just doesn't seem to produce much flavor
If you have a smart phone download vapers tool box. If you convert your wrapping tool to mm and input your wire resistance and desired resistance then follow the wrap directions (clip your legs once through the holes) you'll be spot on every time and not having a meter will be ok until you get one. My little eleaf meter was 7 bucks on eBay and is spot on. I check it with a more expensive multimeter once in a whole to be sure.

Norbert authentic. 7-8 wraps of 28awg, perfect coils using the gizmo. Drop rayon straight down to just touch the bottom of the drip wells and top wicks adhered to the side of the middle nut for the chamber drip down effect. As thick or thin a wick as I feel like. She's a juice ..... and well, the flavor and vapor is nuts. It never misses. I change juices at will after a good draining.

So I've only run one build, twisted 28ga horizontal @0.4ohm, it makes sense to me that horizontal would be best and I like it plenty...

Don't you good running verts spill juice all over the place, so you just not fill it up, or tip it? ...? My build keeps the wicks against the top pretty much closing off the Wells and it's working out pretty well. I'm a genny fan so I see the vert love but am I missing something here?

I don't see how it matters since vertical or horizontal it still has to wick UP the distance from the bottom of the wells to the coils. I have zero trouble with a vert coil setup.

My beloved Origen V2 Clone has finally been supplanted by the Tobecco Veritas clone, and though the Origen will no longer be my 'daily driver' so to speak, it will still get regular use.

On the topic of builds, am i the only one who builds this thing vertical WITH top tails? Never have any wicking issues (Boba's, obv not build in pic), though i don't super sub-ohm (am usually around .7-.9).
