I worked in personal lines insurance for a major national company while my son and daughter were growing up. They both graduated college and live on their own now.
I thought I was in for an easy ride off in to the sunset and then I became a grandmother three years ago to identical twin granddaughters who were born severely premature and weighed 2 pounds at birth. They were so tiny my son's wedding ring slipped over their hand and up to their shoulder. Those little guys mean the world to me and are now happy and healthy without a single sign of their early struggle. What a blessing. I've watched them three days a week since their mom went back to work. Taking care of them has been MUCH harder than what I used to do! LOL. But, much more rewarding too.
We were scared to death for a long time we were going to lose them - now I am making sure I am around to see them grow up.
Hopefully vaping and kicking the 40 year smoking habit will help me do that!
