I have way too many favorites... but if I had to name an all-time favorite, it would probably be Metallica.

I'm also a fan of 80's music, especially the hair metal bands. :)

We have similar tastes Angus.
Anything Eric Clapton is Number one, though. John Mayall's Blues Breakers, Cream, Derek and the Dominoes. Love blues based rock!

Lots of 80's here too. Tarja Turunen I love along with Deathlike Silence ,The Pouges , Flogging Molly and the Dropkick Murphys.Lots of old country too ( the new stuff is all pop music IMO)If I had to pick just one group to listen to for the rest of my life and no other tunes though it would have to be Blackmore's Night!

I am a huuuge Red Hot Chili Peppers fan. Almost always on constant rotation on my MP3 Player. If I had to listen to one band on a constant loop forever and ever it would be them.

I used to like them a lot, until I saw them in concert. They really sucked. The singer was off key most of the time, Flea was obviously so under the influence of something that he couldn't play in time with the rest of the band. They reminded me of a band that was only good in the studio where they could fix their mistakes. Maybe it was an off night, I dunno. I just felt like I wasted my money.

See I was the opposite. I liked them just fine...had an album or two...saw them in 2003 in Cleveland on the By The Way tour and fell in love. Anthony Kiedis is not the best live vocalist. He's more of a lyricist than a singer...that's why I think that they had their guitarist sing a ton of back up...but he quit the band AGAIN....so it will be interesting to see if the new guitarist has any singing talent when the new album drops next summer. So excited!
