Another poster in here said Pink Floyd, but not after Roger Waters left. Heck they are/were just as good after than before he left. But its cool. Roger is a genius. But you cant top Gilmour's talent and playing.

First, foremost, above all - Led Zeppelin. After them, I'd have to put the Screaming Trees in 2nd place, then Pearl Jam in 3rd. Now those are my favorite groups, but what about solo artists? Okay if I add that as a second part to the question? My favorite solo artist is Mark Lanegan - and that means I don't have room for any seconds or thirds. Haha...
