Yes I know..P.V.'s..but in addition to that. Do you keep gum handy? (I do) how about tootsie pops..toothpicks..a wrist band..ect.?

I know a lady who keeps a picture of her grandma on the fridge. I asked why..I mean wouldn't it be better in the living room? But she said her Grandma was a diabetic who refused to do anything about it and died at 61. She is a diabetic and uses her Grandma's picture to remind her to do her testiing, insulin and sugar free foods.

I am sure we all have little tricks to help us remind ourselves of the goal!

My trick is remembering the migraine I got after smoking one cigarette when I hadn't done anything but vape for 3 months. Had a huge fight with Hubby, have no idea what it was about now, and went to the store and bought a pack and smoked one. It didn't taste as horrible as I thought it would, but the migraine it gave me took all day to go away. Believe me I won't be doing that again.

I've been away for a while due to the upcoming shuttle launch (busy, busy), but this post caught my eye.

My technique for staying off analogs? Easy.

Just pull out my last pulmunologist's bill! Not to mention the results of my pulmunary function test before I started on the inhalers.

If that don't scare ya, nothing will!

Thank you all for posting these. I'm hoping my upcoming vaping will get me off the analogs but I'm guessing I might not be one of the "I just didn't want them anymore" people. Even horrendous morning sickness caused by smoke didn't make me want to quit. I did quit for the sake of my babies but not because I had an aversion. Unfortunately when each was weaned I went back to cigs both times. I really really hope this time I can be done with them.

Rocketvapor...sorry the shuttle didn't go up today (stupid clouds).

Kat, Don't worry! You will find that vaping is such an easy thing to do and it feels so much like smoking..you won't find it too hard to make the switch. But having said that, all of us need a bit of help at the beginning! Try soe of the tricks seen here..except the COPD of course (Rockets suggestion):p

dgriego, I am glad snuff works for you! Way to go!:D
