I received mine the other day and was waiting for my Boba's to arrive, Well It arrived today. I filled my tank and was so Disappointed with the draw.

The only comparison I can give would be "It's like taking a drag through a straw" Definitely not my style AT ALL.. I haven't given up on it yet, I've been vaping from it since 2:00 this afternoon. trying to see if I can LEARN to like it..

So far it's not been so good for me as I Feel as if I'm wasting my good juice on it.

Way TOOOOOOOooooooooo AIRY for me. But, I was aware of this prior to ordering.. I can ONLY imagine not asking about it's Airy draw prior to purchase..

I'd be So disappointed

I'm now going to wrap a nice coil on my AGA+ and give it a blast and see which one I like the best. I think it's going to be the AGA. Just because of the Draw.

Now, For the ZAP lovers:

This is definately a Nice Quality item..SEXY on the provari. But for ME.... I just can't vape something with a ZERO draw...

Now, I've read that there used to be an optional cap for a stiffer draw, but they are not being produced anymore, Do these caps offer more of a tighter draw.

It may be what I need.

Perhaps you could cut a strip of aluminum can to fit inside the cap? Poke a small hole with a needle. Enlarge as necessary.

You know, I was thinking of trying to mod it in some way like that.. Was thinking of some clay or 5 minute mud "Drywall mud" and make a smaller hole to see how it goes. and if it works then move onto something better to fill

You could figure out the hole size and buy stainless or brass rod that press-fits into the hole, and drill it out to your liking.

Mod the mod.

I was not happy with mine till I rewicked and coiled it, the stock wick uses a very small amount of mesh, my new wick has probably three times as much mesh as the stock wicks. The airy draw does take some getting used to, took me a week or so to have it grow on me.

Throw a new wick and coil on it and give it a chance, if the draw is still too loose after a week or so go ahead and mod it to your liking.

I like the ZAP for clean up over the AGA by far. No fiddly centre post screw etc., just remove an o ring push up the glass and you are done. I don't like how easily the top pops off and how careful you need to be when you have a ceramic wick in it. I found I could get a much better experience out of it by scrapping the insulator and coiling a couple of the stock wicks together in the larger hole. I have found that you can improve the draw by experimenting with drip tips with a thinner hole.

Yes, i've heard of a lot of people that say this exact same thing, "Oh it's horrible, like sucking through a straw, yada yada, awful!" who several weeks later are like "OMG so I got used to the draw in my ZAP and put a new wick and coil in it and O M FREAKING GEE!!! This thing rocks!!!!" Make a new, thicker wick with more mesh and recoil it. Then just keep using it and you will most likely get used to the draw. I personally love a nice airy draw to an extent. (Not when I see crazy people in the classies selling a genesis with a hole that's like 2.5mm or something nuts)

When I first got my ZAP I was very disappointed with the airy draw but after a week or so I got used to it, and now I rather like it. The only thing I would change is the top cap design in terms of how tightly it connects. My top cap pops off with the slightest contact and this has led me on a search for another RBA that I can take with me out of the house - possibly a DID. Alternately, I am thinking that an iHybrid may be a good option since they have a sleeve over the top cap that keeps it in place but I am not 100% comfortable moving a non-VV mechanical mod. I think I am going to hold off on any big purchases for a while, though, because I have a feeling there are going to be some new and exciting advancements coming soon that will far exceed what is available now.

Like many others, I was initially disappointed with the 'airy' draw of the ZAP. But after sticking with it for a few days, and seeing the amount of vapor and flavor it could produce, I not only came to like it; but I bought two more. I now have three. Plus, there's nothing that looks better on a Provari.
I too have destroyed a couple wicks and coils when removing the top cap. If you gently try to wiggle it off, it will surprise you by suddenly coming loose, and you're liable to bang into the coil. The best way to take the cap off is to grab hold, and yank it off quickly.

Do you think that the lack of a fill plug may have something to do with the draw aswell. Just a thought.

It may. I more likely think it's due to the size of the air hole in the cap. The ZAP air hole is a full 1/16", which is a tad larger than the 1.5mm, found on some of the European or Asian RBAs.

i seem to say this all the time, it is airy for a reason. go ahead and make it tighter...you will regret it, big time! zen used to make a stiff draw cap just to satisfy you kind of peeps. almost all of them were returned saying the airy draw is much much better. remember this is not a clearo or atty you gotta suck the crap out of(never knew why people enjoyed doing so) you hit it like a cigar, just kind of let it flow into your mouth. if your cap is whistling you are sucking too hard!
