What's your out and about set up?

Now that it's tax refund time, it's time to upgrade. I need advice on replacing a mvp2 and nautilus for something with more power and options. Since I have no experience with rebuilding, my questions might seem simple and require simple answers, I appreciate any help.
First. Would you consider a dna40 and a kayfun lite a good choice for learning to build on using for a carry to work set up.
Second. If I can figure out how to use it will it last all day on a battery and a tank full.
Third. How long will a well executed nickel coil build last.

There are so many options, thank goodness. And I am sure you will get many, many suggestions. I am not really a thrill seeker. I just want something easy, dependable and give me a good vape. The reo grand has that covered. Been using it for nine months. Although I know the cost is a little bit more, you just have to taken into consideration how well they are made and who you are going to leave it to someone in your will. I have done rebuilds on Kayfuns, igo-L, Eternity's, ProTanks, and evods and there is nothing any easier than rebuilding the rm2 atomizer that I use on the reo. The reo is a bottom fed device which just means there is a 6ml bottle in the mod itself that is just waiting for you. It is the ultimate dripper as far as I am concerned. Check them out sometime and all the suggestions you will get here. Look at YouTube's and read user reviews. All these will help you decide which mod would be the best for you. For out and about, I use inexpensive mods and clone or inexpensive attys. An istick with a Rose v2 clone is one I always take. If I drop it in a parking lot, or it gets stolen, I won't be devastated. I keep expensive mods and attys at home.

Pretty much anything that is single coil is pretty easy to build imo. You don't have to worry about getting the coils to heat evenly and don't have to deal a crowded deck. Kayfuns are great if you don't mind a very tight draw but if you want big air flow, or any airflow options at all I'd go with something else single coil with bigger airflow like a Lemo.
As far as lasting all day that really depends on how much you vape over a day. If battery life is really a concern you can go with something that has a usb charge. When it comes to juice capacity I'd say keep track of how many ml you burn in a day and get something that will suit your needs. For me on the go means I'm probably not going to be chain vaping and smaller tanks that take up less space in my pocket are better thank something that might have a larger volume but are more bulky.

If you're looking at DNA40 devices I would suggest looking at the SX Mini as well. If you want something cheaper, yet still pocket friendly ... something like the iStick 50 watt or IPV Mini v2 would be a dramatic upgrade to the MVP2.

If you want a rebuildable tank I would look at the Goblin, SilverPlay, and Lemo Drop. The Goblin seems to be the closest thing to a dripping experience in a tank right now and it's affordable. (Out of stock every where pretty much atm)

Of course, if you buy a mod that requires a standalone battery (the iStick 50 has a builtin LiPo battery like the MVP2), make sure you grab a high drain battery. Personally I would shoot for a 30amp or higher, 2100mah or higher battery.

My recommendation would be to grab an iStick 50w.... a Kayfun Lite +... and a SilverPlay. You'll be able to mix and match parts... have large capacity... small capacity.... high or low resistance... lots of options and it puts you in a "family" of parts/accessories as they share threading.

What's your out and about set up?

My out and about vaping happens mainly while driving and I use a Reo Grand with a shorty LR carto or 360 atomizer. It works perfectly. Has an 18650 battery and a bottle of juice on-board. The Reo will also accept a bottom-feed RDA (I have an RM2, Igo-S, and Cyclone) that can be rebuilt with varying resistances. To sub-ohm on a Reo you will need a sub-ohm kit, which my Reos do not have.

Anyway, it's a hassle free method of enjoying dripped vapor and flavor without the hassle or mess of actually dripping.

I vape a Kayfun 3.1 all day. At home I vape it on my Provari while the Eleaf iStick charges. When I go out I grab the iStick just because it's small and stealthy and it can plug into the USB port in my pickup. Using the iStick frees me from having to carry a spare 18650 for the Provari. If I fill up the Kayfun it can last me most of the day. It's easy to fill, but you do need a mini screwdriver to get into it.

Kayfun is good for 100% PG down to about 60% PG. Any more VG than that and it starts to have wicking issues.

To me, out and about means optimizing size with capacity both in terms of battery and juice. Oh, and durability.
For atty, I choose the erlkonigin nano as my out and about. Plastic tank won't break. Very small in height yet holds a bunch (3.5?) of juice. I run this without driptip a lot, just using the drip tip adapter and occasionally adding a silicone sleeve over it from a carto -- I hate metal DTs especially in cold weather. The next runner up would be a KFL+ in nano mode. Again plastic tank since glass breakage is a show stopper.

For mod. rDNA40 would work well, swap-able battery a big plus. Kinda big though. Istick is a long lasting mod battery wise. I usually use my VS DNA30 with silicone sleeve but it's battery is limited.

My all-day, everyday, at home and out and about rig is a REO Grand. It's not variable, and that's what kept me from buying one for years. After finally giving in to the positive reviews, I realized I was wrong for so long about a mechanical. It's worry-free vaping at its best. Thousand of people swear by the REO line as the end-game of shiny-itis and next-best-mod search. It's a great device and darn-near indestructible. Kinda pricey, but worth every penny.
