I have a half-smoking hubby too!
He doesn't smoke at home (at least not when I'm awake!), but he does at work and smells like a stinky ashtray when he comes home. Yuck. I'll give him props though for being willing to try vaping and being courteous enough to not smoke around me.

I'm new here. I'm 52, started smoking at 10yrs old. Now 40 days since my last cigarette. I bought a joyetech eGo AIO on December 17. I had strep throat and still tried to smoke. My throat couldn't take it.
This is the longest I've been smoke free. I tried patches, gum and prescriptions, nothing worked for more than two weeks, until now.
I'm bouncing between 6-12mg nicotine from a 2 pack/day smoking habit. The best part? I got my wife to join me. The worst part? My farts can tear the stripe off a skunk[emoji40]

Small victory for me was finding the Vintage Dutch Oak Cabinet to store all my vape gear!

Only problem is it is already full and two more items are on the way!

Right On Troubled1.

40 Days is kinda when I got Over the Hump. And could go a Whole Day without thinking about Smoking.

ETA: Make sure you have a Complete Back-Up e-Ciagrette/Tank. And maybe even a Back-Up for your Back-Up.

Picture of this cabinet please? I need something too....

I went searching through thrift shops and antique dealers and struck out, so I called a friend at the Museum to see where he suggested I look for something. Half hour later her calls and says he has something for me! Score!

9 months into vaping I got an intense craving for a cigarette when I found a pack on the porch that the plumber left behind. I switched out to some high mg tobacco flavored juice I had at home and vaped my face off with it until the craving went away.

5 days from my 2 year mark another very intense craving at the beach. My friend that was with me smoked very heavily and I really, really wanted to reach over and take one of them and smoke it. I kept reminding myself how close I was to 2 years smoke free and I didn't succumb.
The best victory is that I'm now 6 years, 3 months and 8 days smoke free and that craving at the beach was the very last one I had ever had. :)

@house mouse I understand fully what you felt and how you felt. When I was still only a few months into being a former smoker I was able to have just one and I did. But I really did not smoke them and had to relight them a couple of times never finishing even half. Then the very last time I did something as stupid as that after a big steak dinner and a glass of wine I said... Oh what the hell let me have one! Well spent the rest of the night washing my hands and brushing my teeth and I still could not get rid of that disgusting smell on me. Thank your lucky stars or your will power that you didn't smoke one because I will never forget not being able to get the stick off me.

OMG! I love it!!!

When you called it "the" Vintage Dutch Oak Cabinet I was hoping it could be ordered from Amazon or Sears or something (and maybe for a half-decent reasonable price). I'll have to haunt a few local auctions to find something as nice as that. I won't pay reproduction prices - I'd rather wait and get the real thing.

Today marks 6 months since I've had a cig! What's your small (or not so small) victory? Let's celebrate together!

CONGRATS !!!

My small victory is today I visited a local vape shop while my boss was busy (home boss, not work boss, happily retired).
Spent about 45 minutes talking to the help, checking different mods and tanks...and left without buying anything!!!

Although I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke on people anymore, I still very much like the smell of a fresh burning one. I just don't like it enough to make me think it's a good idea to try one.
