I've been vaping for 7.5 years now.
And I'm regressing.

I went off nicotine last January, so it's been a year without.
That is why I say I am regressing.

I like nicotine, but I don't really NEED it to function.
(some probably do though)

But I do like it.
And I think it is also good for my health and well-being.

But I'm being extorted by the health insurance companies.
And my work charges nicotine users (of any kind) an extra $100 per month.

I refuse to pay that, so I am off nicotine until I retire.
And when I retire I hope that I can find a health insurance company that has some sanity.

So instead of small victories, I'm experiencing small losses in freedom.

But either way, I'm going back to nicotine when I retire.
Even if I have to pay for the privilege.

EDIT: Don't mean to bring the thread down, but it needs to be said.

And for me every day I can get through without ordering vape gear is a victory to me. And it's so hard.... .. :)

I can relate to that. I don't really need any new gear. I like what I vape with, and while I don't have as large a collection as some, I think I have a respectable amount of equipment. But every so often I get the bug to start looking for something new to try. If only I could unsubscribe to the YouTube vaping channels, I think that would help.

But it ain't gonna happen...

I've been waiting for the hammer to fall with our insurance, but, so far, they've not singled out nicotine users. I regularly vape 3mg/ml (or less) and often go days on 0 nic, but, like you, I find I like having a little nic in my diet...

I found a pack and 1/2 of cigs in a purse yesterday. I was not really tempted to smoke one. More aggravated that I had not given them away with the rest I had around the house. They are sitting on top of the refrigerator in an ash tray. I will pass them on to a smoker. 2 weeks, 2 days smoke free...

Not exactly my small victory but My hubby started out right by my side on this vaping journey. After about 6 months in he started back to smoking a couple a day and gradually got back up to over a pack a day (down from his high of up to 3 packs a day). He finally said "This is getting out of hand". He is back down to less than half a pack a day and is trying to go lower. Even after 5 years I still hold out hope that he will someday put all the smokes behind him.

If not.....Well I did marry him for better or worse and I take that vow very seriously. :)

Very nice. Loved ones' small victories are good to hear about too!
