I just wanted to here peoples amazing vape journey. Like how and why you started vaping and what you are vaping on now, how long you have been off the death sticks. And what are you vaping on now.

Little about my vape journey I've been vaping for about 7 months. I started on a itaste 20w with a protank 3, I told my self I was only going to use it till I got off cigs and I was never going to use rda's well now I am using a sigelei 150w with a troll rda haha, and just pre order my first temp control mod evic vt. I've loved every minute of it it's one of the best things that I've got into. Now let's here your story!

Been off cigs for 16 months. Started with the typical Egos, which I would never badmouth as they did get me to finally kick a 40 year 1-2 PAD addiction. Moved onto an MVP2 and SVD briefly before diving into mechanicals and drippers. Now I use 3 Reo Grands, a Reo Woodvil, and 4 Pekos, which are 3d printed mechanical mods. I only bottom feed drip now, and have about 30 assorted bottom fed atties. I haven't gone to the high watt regulated devices, but may give it a try one day.

thats awesome that you were able to get off cigs after smoking for 40 years congrats! I love the lower devices like egos and mvps cause that's what got most of us started and got us off death stick.

I'll do one for myself and type one for my dad since he quit with my help as well.

Officially quit for 1 year since not having another dip or cigarette. I started in May 2014 though. I was 2 packs a day of cigarettes that I rolled my own and I was 2-3 cans of dip a day as well. Copenhagen Mint or Copenhagen snuff was my choice of dip. Often times I would have my lip packed even when smoking. I started on an iTaste vv v3. I went from various regulated mods and mechanical mods. I use a Reo Grand and a hexohm v2.1 now. Oh yeah, I smoked for 5 years and dipped for 8 years. I started dipping in High School.

My dad, 2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years. Tried every method to quit and failed each time. He finally quit being stubborn (I got this trait from him, haha :) ) and he listened to me. His first device was an eGrip, but that thing was absolutely junk. He went through 2 in 2 weeks. Finally get got my old Atlantis tank and an iStick 50w. Now he is 11 weeks smoke free and not looking back. He vapes unflavored, he says it's the closest thing to a cigarette taste and he hates the flavors anyways for vaping.

Cigalikes when I couldn't smoke. Knew they would never work but got me through airports and such.

Ego's and spinners. Could never keep me off cigs but let me know there was another way. Bought alot of tanks at retail prices trying to find something that would work. Spent A METRIC CRAPTON of money during this phase.

On to mechs and drippers. Hated drippers and given the choice chose smoking 9 times out of 10.

Tanks on mechs. Actually liked this phase. Quit smoking 100% during this phase. Pretty sure I was never gonna be a vaper but for sure I wasn't a smoker.

First VW box, an iStick. Then a Nautilus. That combo made me a vaper. Long gone was smoking and more importantly the fear that vaping wasn't something I could stay with long term which "could" lead back to smoking. At this point I knew I had the answer if I could just stick with it.

Tried high wattage/low ohm stuff here. Not for me.

But still the muted flavor of the Nautilus bugged me. There had to be something more. Nothing store bought. Have to learn to build. Suck it up cupcake.

Got coils and wicking down good enough. Got some boxes with some power. Trail and error. Found my spot. Roughly 30w and .5-7ohm with 26ga wire. Easy to wrap.

Now as long as vape in my happy spot smoking is a non-issue. Not even on the table. Long term I just don't have the answer. Below 20w I'd rather quit everything and test my shaky will against smoking. Above 30 I can just turn it down. Legal issues?? No clue.

One day at a time.

Smoked for 21 years, the wife 20. 5 years ago we started with the mall cigalikes. That lasted about 2 months. We then switched to a Missy's Wetbox. If you don't know that that was, consider yourself very very lucky. :nah: That lasted about 2 months. Then we found the REO Grand. Haven't looked back since or bought anything else sense except for more REOs and a RBA to go on top.

Back about 2 years ago I bought an ego. Never intended to quit smoking back then. Was still doing my pack and half a day. Only vaped while I was at work and couldn't get out to have a smoke. That last 2 months and I quit vapeing.
About 3 months ago I quit smoking for good and grabbed a mvp2 and a nautilus. Its been great but I'm ready to upgrade and try subohming and start building. As of today I have a cart ready online for payday. It includes the istick 50, subtank mini, 26g kanthal, and a Magma dripper.

Started with Kanger EVOD, was given an original Itaste MVP 11w that evening from a friend but stayed with the Kanger for weeks. Upgraded to EMOW tank for airflow a few weeks after starting. Started using the MVP with the EMOW and knew I was on the right path. Upgraded to a Gladius X on the MVP and was happy for a while. Switched to Magma RDA with single 1 ohm coil and fell in love. I started chucking small clouds.
Upgraded the mod: Ivogo Dimitri mech mod, using Magma RDA, dual 1 ohm coils, heat squeezed and reading .45 ohms. Now I'm sub ohming and cloud chasing and have never been happier.

I started with an ego and a kanger t2. Quickly decided that wasn't going to cut it, and the tanks were a pain. Switched to the t3s, and a vv battery. Quit smoking two weeks later. Haven't had a smoke in almost 3 months.

I'm now vaping on an iTaste MVP 3 and a kanger sub box with 2 iSub tanks and a sub tank mini. I plan on sticking with these for a while. I may pick up something like an ego one battery in the future. Something small I can use when I forget to charge my other mods.
