The last 2 wks I have started wheezing. I rarely had this prob when I smoked. Gonna try diff ratios but before I order I would like thoughts from you folks on which is probably the culprit. I am guessing it is the VG:unsure:. I m using diff ratios so I can't definitively eliminate one or the other. Thanks. BTW, been vaping for 7 weeks. One more thing is I have to keep clearing my throat (not lungs).

My brother had a similar wheezing issue. Turned out to be the PG. Strangely enough he was allergic to his drip tip also. The metal would make his lips puff up. :) HTH

Thanks, LB. Interesting. I'm gonna order some VG/PG (already ordered nic)& figure it out but am interested in what others have experienced. BTW, m drinking plenty of water.

I am having the same issue as you do, with clearing the throat and as I read here people suggest it's from VG but personally I suspect PG also. Im as new as you are to vaping so therefore also confused. I started at the beginning of this year with 100% vg and had no problems, and towards finishing the batch I diluted it with around 15-20% pg and my throat started building phlegm. I am getting more vg liquid soon and see if it goes away. What's the highest PG ratio you used and for how long?

Don't assume it's only the PG or VG, perhaps you've developed a sensitivity to a flavoring (or even the nic, I've seen at least one post on ECF from someone that wound up being sensitive to nic).

It would be pretty straight forward to rule out VG: get a bottle of glycerin from the pharmacy, thin it with a bit of distilled water (not tap water), and vape some one evening. If you don't wheeze vaping pure VG then you know it's either PG, a flavor component, or nic. Get a small sample bottle of unflavored 100% VG nic juice and another of unflavored 100% PG juice. Vape the unflavored VG nic first: if you don't wheeze then you know it's not VG or the nic. Vape the unflavored PG nic juice next: if you wheeze, it's the PG causing it. If not, then it's one of your flavorings.

Well there is a possiblity it could be your lungs healing...now that the cillia has regrown it could be trying to clear out your lungs. Most allergies and sensitivies are pretty immediate but, then again with recently regrown cillia the lungs may have just develped a way to react. Reacting the the thickness or presence of a substance rather than the particular substance itself. You are able to clear out substances and they are forming phlem? Is it thick or watery? Any particular color? What time of day is this occuring?
