When attys "pop"?

When attys "pop" do I need to worry about getting hot metal in my mouth. I am using a debridged atty with a drip tip so this has me worried, lol. thoughts...

Nah, when they pop the coil or element simply separates at some point in the atty. No flying bits of coil or anything like that.

Usually, no. Usually it just quietly stops.

Had one pop just recently. Great hit one minute, then nothing the next. No warning, just stopped.
