When Blowing Out Your Atomizer

On a 510, be sure cover the bottom center hole on the battery end, and blow into the cartridge opening. This will blow out the two small air holes just above the threads.
Make sure you wipe the brass (where the atty meets the battery) end to not get any juice in your mouth!
I normally just use my 901's until they quit and pop in another. The other day I noticed it was flooded pretty good because I was trying out a few different luquids so I thought I would blow it out.

After your done blowing out the liquid, plug the atty with both fingers and watch the last remnants of residual liquid squeeze out of the breather hole. The air pressure & heat from your fingers over each side forces the liquid out. dab it with a kleenex. When nothing else comes out, you are ready to re-drip. i put 6-7 drops in. First draw is like vaping for the first time. Been using my 901 atty since sept. workhorse. Not bad for cheap Chinese technology.
I got the intellicig EVO, and its refusing to make any smoke. some times it would work great then it quits slowly. bogus. Any ideas?
That's why I love the 510's manual batteries, I used to be scared to blow out the cart end for fear of juice getting into the the battery. You don't have to worry about juice getting into the battery! And it's a good chance to clean the threads while your at it.

I tell ya - I've been vaping very, very, very, VERY heavily since I got my 510. Tonight I took a real good, close look at my atty. It looked like a caramel colored mess around the bottom under the wire mesh bridge...plus some stray threads from the wick were all bundled up at the bottom too. I blew it out for quite a while from BOTH ends - as the 510 batts have those 2 little vent holes above the threads - and then I trimmed the stray fibers making sure to not pull any of the wick out. It looks bright and shiny now...without any soaking. Me thinks that is you do this weekly you should be able to extend the life somewhat.

I set mine upside down on the table to drain excess juice daily .. then use canned air once per week , they sure get juicy .. like a sponge, also dont use STEVIA flavorings , it will mess you up and tastes bad,, i didnt realize that it tastes good in drinks but if it heats up or burns it tastes awful..
Good tip on the air holes. I've been using an ultrasonic cleaner on my 510 atty. Just distilled water for 5 minutes. Blow from both ends into a paper towel. Let air dry for 48 hours OR if I'm in a hurry, use a Hair dryer for 5 minutes, then let air dry for 8 hours.

I've been covering both holes like mentioned before, anybody tried using good wood grain alcohol with/without an ultrasonic cleaner?
I've noticed my atty needs cleaned out a lot less since switching to blue foam though - i used to get polyfill stuck to my atty before and that was a pain to get off before it turned black.

Not wood alcohol, but pure grain alcohol like Everclear. Don't want poisonous stuff in my atty because it'll certainly eventually end up in me.
Is there any way to get 'mint' flavor out of my 901 atty? No matter what I use, I still taste the mint. Not a mint person, but feel this new mint atty is ruined now. ??

sometimes enough for a good session of vaping without a cart.
Often it's blowing from the battery end that gets the liquid on to the atty.
Which means there's quite a bit of the stuff in there
but i'll be damned if i can see where it's hiding.
Sometimes it's easier to accomplish things if you have a visual of what you're attempting to accomplish.
Unfortunately there is no booze in my house of any sort.

I had a really nasty stuck flavor on one atty that wouldn't leave just blowing it out. The only fix was soaking in isopropyl in a shot glass for hours. And every once in a while tipping it and let the alc drain through the atty end down to the batt end cycled over a few times, the more the better. Then a long flush with warm water, blow out the water and keep blowing it with a hair dryer till warm every hour or so if you want to use it sooner than wait a whole day but make sure the air is warm as in hot that it almost makes your fingers burn and let it sit for a while.
