When did a puff become a metric unit?

Is there som sort of regularized system like 25 puffs to a ml or something? Or is it, as I suspect, a fuzzy metric susscptible to marketing BS, in which case there will (and probably already has been ) puff inflation

Dunno - but I've just tried a wee experiment with my innokin Coolfire Z80 - it records 1 puff if I draw for 1 second and one if I draw for 5 seconds - so it's hardly that scientific!

I've never bothered with looking at the puff counter - imho it's just a piece of fluff that I can manage well without.

Being honest, if i could be bothered to read the instructions I'd turn it off altogether, but as someone once said to me -"You're a nice guy Gerry, but for God's sake RTFM!"

Always thought the puff counter was just a waste of screen space.
My Voopoo (now two months old) now reads 32586 puffs.
Do ya believe that ?!?

Well, if the "estimated" life of the fire button is, say half a million cycles, it can give advance warning of failure

As do I. It seems to be a standard unit of measurement with disposables though. My suspicion is that there is that there is a whole lot of lying to the public (or misleading which in this case is the same thing) involved in “50,000 puffs!” Or whatever is being advertised. Kinda wonder how many wicks one might go thru in that time. The wick in a “50,000 puff” disposable vape must get naaaaasty

Its been a long time since the button was the failure point on an ecig for me, though it has happened in the distant past. Usually for me the case goes or the electronics get filled with ejuice

I work at a vape shop. So I know all about the puff count hype. If you look on the back of the disposable box it gives you I total milliliter for the disposable. That's what I educate my customers to look for, not the newest/highest puff count!

So the actual capacity IS marked!… good to know. Thx
