When did you convert to vaping?

Saw a post on SD (slickdeals.net) for Blus and was directed to this forum. Haven't touched an analog since Saturday, when I got my Riva 510 in. Still got that open pack sitting in the garage. Could make a pack last through the work week, mainly because I was conscious about co-workers and clients not liking the smell. But when the weekend comes around, I'd do a pack a night.

I converted to vaping eight months after quitting regular analogs. Although I had quit in the past, I always wanted a smoke when I was out with friends drinking. The last smoke I had was a month ago at a friends bachelor party. It was disgusting and I couldn't even finish half of it. I was always on the fence about smoking and drinking with friends, so I would avoid going out to bars with friends that would smoke. After a old co-worker introduced me to E-cigs I am a happy camper. I can go out to bars and vape inside them while my friends have to go outside. I am now on a mission to convert all my friends over to vaping. Heck I even had a friend that has never smoked a regular cigarette in his life try my ego with caramel apple pie and not give it back till the end of the night.

That is exactly how I feel. It has been just over 3 weeks for me.

My story. Friend of mine sent me a link to an article he wanted me to read. Well as with all articles there were advertisements. To a scam of course. However, for some reason it sparked my interest and I started digging and digging, reading and researching and found my way to ECF I spent a couple days reading and looking at the different vendors, reading more on all the different options. Well it was time to go to the store and get my cartoon of cigs, but this time I secretly (was afraid to tell anyone, incase it failed) ordered my 510 with my cig money. I got it a couple days later in the afternoon, after going to the store and buying a pack of smokes and then my boyfriend brought me 2 packs at lunch that day. Well I smoked one cig that night and still have those same 3 packs in my freezer that we got that day. I am now using an Ego pt and have my 510 for when I go out. I am just amazed. After the second day of not smoking I got brave and told people what I had done. Figured I couldn't hide my pv (since it is now a part of my hand, hehe) and not be packing cigs without someone noticing. hehe, since then my neighbor has ordered her a 510, my dad is looking at getting himself one too. I am hoping my boyfriend will give it a chance as well. He was so convinced it wouldn't work and now he is seeing it has worked. It took very little effort to make the transaction and now when I look at those packs in the freezer they just make me feel sick to even think about smoking them. However, I still have them in the freezer just in case. SO silly I know, but....

That's funny - I have 2 packs in my freezer too! Right next to my 48mg vg nic!
Haven't had the desire to smoke at all thanks to seeing Katherine Heigl on Letterman demonstrating her e cig she used to quit smoking when she got pregnant. Found ECF immediately after! Thank you Universe!!!

A woman I had a crush on was vaping. She was telling me that she was getting into selling them as a business through a friend.

That friend reminded me of a goat, so I did some research to see if I could outcompete him. Ended up doing research on PVs which led me to ECF and all of the good options, stories and stuff. It ramped up my interest in vaping beyond competing with goatboy.

I smoked a pack a day and converted to vaping about 7-8 months ago while trying to quit with the patch. I saw a friend using one, tried it, and ripped the patch off my arm and went straight away to buy one. Its been awesome ever since. Now coworkers ask me to help their relatives and especially moms/dads get off smoking. I have even given people my kits to help them and bought new ones lol, I don't get withdrawals anymore so i can go the days in between no problem. I have had great luck! Me and my buddy even started a blog aimed at helping people make a successful switch.

I converted when a friend of mine, who ironically doesn't even use hers anymore, let me try it. Unfortunately, I didn't know of the amazing world of ECF, so it was a mall kiosk one, but they sold 510s. Thank GOD I didn't get swindled into a Smoke 51 Then, cignot.com became my new store for all of my 510 equipment.

PAD 40 year Kool smoker. Got my eGo 11/24/2010. Smoked a few cigarettes until I found the right juice. Haven't had one since 12/5/2010.

i have been vaping for close to 3 months now, i started because i couldnt quit analogs and swore to my fiancee that i would, a guy in the mall in my lil town had one he let me try it out......i was hooked from the get go. waited about two weeks to do a lil research decided on the dse 901 and that was one of em he had, i believe in local economy so i decided to spend the extra 20 bucks on his kit but he was nice and gave me 2 free bottles of juice and extra pack of carts. i am verry pleased no desire to smoke analogs and my fiancee is happy so im happy lol. happy vaping everyone
