when DIY mixing need some help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey everyone out there in E cig world!

My question is when mixing and after you mix your VG and flavor how many mg of nic should you use when your a pack a day smoker right now Im at 18mg and useing 1.2ml cartimizer. is that about right? the place i got it from (i will not mention) said this is ok for me, but i find that get light headed with it, also i like to vape all day as well.
As well I've been off of cigerettes now for 30 days after 29 years smoking a pack a day!

Could anyone help on this one

It depends what concentration of nic juice you got. eJuice me up has a good calculator and there is a lot of good info in the DIY section of this forum

We really need a lot more information of what you are using and how you are calculating that out. If your target is 18mg, what is your base liquid at? How much are you mixing at a time etc?

ok well i have a nic base of 36mg 30 ml bottle now i just trying to figure out if 18mg is right for me !

Unless you've actually measured how many drops of each is in a ml, I'd rely on absolute (eg. in a syringe or pipette) measurements. For instance, one of my flavours took 47 drops to equal 1ml. If your VG and flavours come out in smaller drops, that could be increasing your nic concentration.

I believe your question is "what strength is right for an ex- pack a day smoker"??

I was a PAD smoker and 24mg/ml got me off the smokes. After about a month I moved down to 12mg/ml (started getting heart burn when vaping), that wasn't enough so now I'm at 18mg/ml. I have some 12mg for when I have a continuous session of vaping and also a fluxomizer loaded with 24mg for the morning, if I am in a hurry and need to load up fast!

It's hard to find the right balance because we are all different, but also stressful situations and the stuff life throws at us (kind of like the monkeys at the zoo!) require different levels of vape.

Agreed. I only mix with syringes. This way there is absolutely no room for error in measurements. (still room for user error)
This is the only way to be sure on nic concentration. If you still find 18mg high, slowly drop to something lower like 12 mg.

It's really up to you if 18mg is enough. If you are getting light headed off it, you could probably drop it down without any problems. Make a batch of 12mg and see if that keeps up with your nic needs. If that doesn't do it for you, you can always go back up, or find something in the middle that works for you.

Lol Me too just started vaping and was about a pack or a little more a day but used to smoke du Maurier and Players Original and Cameo so fairly strong smokes.

I vape straight 36 MG DiY 50/50 and also got some 48 50/50 for those really tought days and it works farily good for me I dont chain vape much and it satifies me. 28 was ok but just not quite enough. I dont get dizzy or sick unless I really over do it wich is almost impossible I find.

We all have different needs mix small batches and see what seems to work for you if you vape that much maybe your not as much as a nic addict more the vapor addict

I think it is all very much dependent on the individual.
I was a pack a day as well. The first juice I got was 18mg RY4 and it was a bit much. Now, I'm on 12mg and that seems to be fine.
I would suggest getting a few samples of the same flavour in different mg's from the same vendor and trying each for a full day to see what works best.
