I started to vape last summer with a regular ego battery and a vivi nova tank and it was love at first breath.. now I've upgraded to better devices but nothing really does magic anymore like it used to. Am i just using cheap juices? not using the right tank/whatever set up? what do you recommend i do?

I'm using an evic/mvp v2 and i ordered a vamo v5 today in hopes that extra volt at 6v will bring back some good vaping. I do make my own juice now and i didn't used to could that be it? I usually vape the same stuff.. green apple made with 30/70 pg/vg and some koolada to ice it up.

The newness has worn off maybe. It's up to you how you want to approach it. Try different things, juices, toppers, a bit more power like you're doing, maybe a rebuildable to tinker with. Really only you know what's best for you.

Or you could vape less. I don't vape that much anymore and I find if I've been out for the day and didn't take a PV with me that first vape session after I get home is really great :). I could give it up altogether, but I doubt I will. Nothing wrong with that though as long as you don't go back to cigarettes.

It is interesting as smokers many were happy with the same thing, brand, type of smoke and never thought much about it. Now as vapers it is all about wanting something different. What is this all about? Do we vape to get off smokes or is it to satisfy some other internal condition? We are strange animals us humans.

I'm still pretty new, and still stunned not to be smoking...but what you guys are saying may be just the natural progression of things.

I can still remember, really I can, the first time I smoked a cigarette! It was the most amazing feeling. I stayed up all night that first night and just smoked cigarette after cigarette.

Fast forward many, many years. That amazing feeling certainly disappeared quickly. I smoked because I felt a "need" to, not a desire to. It was not fun or exciting. It made me feel bad, and it cost me money I wished I was spending on something else.

I don't anticipate that the "newness" of vaping will last forever. It will probably become just a part of my daily routine, just like smoking was. But I will know that I am spending less, and not doing the harm to myself that I did with cigarettes.

And there will always be the possibility of a "wonderful juice" just around the corner that will make it all new again.:)

Like many here, I started with egos. Moved on to VV and/or VW (spinners, MVP), mechanicals, different tops (CEs, vivi novas, iclears, evods, protank, etc.), drippers, etc. etc. etc. So what do I now use 99% of the time? I'm back to egos and clearos. I still do enjoy different juices but you're right - the 'newness' has worn off. But it's all good - I'm not smoking, I feel great, and I still enjoy vaping.

i started ecigs last june and the newness hasn’t worn off yet. i began with Apollo’s standard starter kit, you know, the one’s that look like a pack of cigarettes, then after a couple of months, and after immersing myself in the culture more, graduated to a Superior eGo with the wicked CE4 clearomizers, then ditched the CE4’s for for Kanger Protank and the Davide glassomizer. i just recently discovered the website empiremods.com, so in the coming months i want to dive into variable voltage batteries, funky drip tips like these: XXXL 901/510 Anodized Drip Tip, and funky looking clearomizers. after almost a year of vaping it’s still a world of discovery for me. :)

For me it goes up and down ... When I first started I was like everyone else, obsessed with trying new things, or different brands of the same thing. I have pretty much always DIY my own juice, so that has never really been part of the "shopping/trying" thrill for me. After using Egos, cartos, and 808's for about two years, I came back to ECF, and there was a whole new vape wave happening, and I jumped in once again ...

That was six months ago, now I have plenty of mods, and RBA's, and so the excitement is settling down again ... kinda

I mean, that could change with the release of a new mech, or RBA :p ... I have a few more things on my list that I want, that of course I do not need, so I am still having some fun with it. :)

I dont feel that way at all, if anything ive only found more satisfaction. I find it i go back to a weaker device (such as a cigalike and im not able to carry a larger device; That i get used to it after a few hours of use. The only time i do not feel satisfied is when i overdo it, such as drinking, which also made me smoke much more and never quite satisfied when i was a smoker!

Change your flavour - the things i liked when i started are not necessarily the ones i like now. I don't constantly chase new ones, but i do have a few i like; some i'll use for a day or so and a regular all-day vape.

Sometimes a change is as good as a rest. It's not that vaping excites me anymore, it's that it has replaced tobacco, but with more opportunities to play.

Um only 4 months in but I feel like the "new" will never wear off for me. I stick with the same flavor but I'm constantly adding to my collection and buying new things. Idk maybe it's personality. When I get into something I really really get into it and it becomes a big thing in my life.

Want to say Hi from a fellow Okie!:) And I'm like that, too. I get very enthusiastic about things, and sometimes I stay that way for a long time, too. I have hobbies that I've enjoyed for years and years. Now that I'm retired I can do all kinds of things that I've always wanted to do.

Wow first person I've met since joining from oklahome. Glad I'm not the only one with this addictive personality.:)

You mentioned upgrading, have you tried popping some juice in the Vivi Nova again to see if that maybe took you back to those times? I'm still in the tank swapping stage trying to find my favorites myself. But I always end up using a Protank Mini when I want my best vape. The one tank I've used since day 1.
